The site is being cleared for The Pearl II apartments at 1700 Pearl St. They’re ripping up the foundation of the previous structure and removing trees so far.

Front Street Partners has landed a $45 million loan from Wilson Bank & Trust to build a 300 unit complex at 7114 Charlotte Pike. This will be on undeveloped land across the road from Novel Charlotte  (436 units) on which is nearing completion. No name or renderings yet.

That means 70% of the overall space is already leased. Other tenants include Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams and E/Spaces.

Silo Studios (conversion of a 2 story, 80,000 sq. ft. former lumber mill into office/retail space) is nearing completion.  Nice that they are preserving as much of the original tongue-and-groove hardwood flooring as possible (much had been damaged from water and oil damage), as well as refurbishing a few massive pieces of machinery that will be on display to help tell the story of the structure's past.
