Yes, this place is amazing, but blown away? She must have thought all we had was cans of beans and fried chicken shacks.

Elizabeth Projects (7th St, Elizabeth Ave, etc)

That's what I was thinking. I'm looking forward to this. All Latin food is not the same, just like Chinese food is different from Japanese, which is different from Korean. It's not recognizing this that makes our food scene lackluster. Sabor is Mexicanish / Dominican / Venezuelan based, Viva Chicken is Peruvian, I believe, and this looks to be Cuban based. Different continents, different countries, different flavors. -
Design Center Expansion in South End

That's my point. When I go home every day, the first thing I see is the outside. I want to be happy about going home because my home "greets" me. The reason I purchased my house is because the outside was as nice as the inside. This is not. Nothing about it is nice or even acceptable for the amount these people will have to pay, imo. It is not interesting. It is not nice. It is not stylish. It is nothing. -

I took another look at the renderings before I posted, but it's just not doing it for me. It's creepy and bland. A missed mark on stylish minimalism. -

This just really doesn't look nice. I wouldn't want to pay all that money to feel like I had to walk into some scary/drab, cabrini green looking building just to get to my nice home every day. Are we going to get a residential building somewhere between "Pretty in Pink"& "Candyman" at any point? -

Personal family stuff. Good stuff, but no time to run a business at the moment. -
I love Pollo Tropical so much that I have contacted them twice about coming here.

I was on a train the St. Patrick's Day weekend the extension opened. Had to get off around Woodlawn so they could clean up some reveler's vomit.

The only thing I've had to say up here in months is that deck is a freaking mess. So much thought put into all the other features, I mean, I really love the style of those apartments - so simple and different - and then BAM "LoOK aT OUr BEyOuTiful dECK!!". I refuse to believe anyone thought this was a good idea. Someone was threatened, or bribed, or possessed or something. This clearly reeks of some sort of foul play.

I used to work at Compass Group. Going to work in that quiet little business park off of Yorkmont was not "sexy" and I often wondered why that was the chosen location for the headquarters. All I can surmise is that it's a food service company - that serves institutions like schools and hospitals via humdreds of thousands of kitchen employees paid poverty wages, so no sexy needed. I don't know, though. Just a guess. I would love to see them move uptown or even Ballantyne.

Perception of Charlotte Nationwide

The bitterness is probably as specific as the call out. Sounds like someone whose ex left them to move here or something similar that makes you want to complain to anyone who'll listen. -
I was under the impression that the game was sold out long ago. Are there still tickets available? I'm kicking myself for canceling my RR deposit.

While I would love for them to hurry up and open, I would rather them get as much done as possible beforehand. Are we assuming or do we know for ure about Aix Rotisserie?

Didn't know where to ask this, but does anyone know what is going to happen to the Tech Zone space on the College St. side of Bank of America Tower? One of the glass panes was broken a few weeks ago and now the store is slowly being packed up. The only information I could find is an Observer article about the store opening in 2016. I've been walking by every day and don't think I've ever seen anyone in there.

Not sure of the rules, but I see and hear chickens everywhere.

I remember this. I used to go with my coworkers after work. It really was a cool place to hang out and have a few drinks. -
When was this? I don't remember that at all.

Saw this on the way to work the other day. It had a North Carolina license plate. I guess they still wanted to show their Buffalo pride. Yes, my windshield was covered in pollen. -

Yes, please. Up or down. Who decided that placement was a good idea? Give me a ladder and I'll move it myself.

I used to love Cosmos. They're literally tearing up the dance floor now. Big chunks of pavement ripped out.
