  1. According to the tax map number listed under Exhibit A, the standalone building along Innovation Drive (across from St. Francis' facilities) is where they'll be located (see below). I have not driven Innovation Drive in a long time. Has the concept of technology neighborhoods been completely abandoned? Anyway, it's great to see the investment and jobs. It's not clear to me what the nature of these jobs will be. Will this be a lab, or just storage of tissue?
  2. I was wondering this about the connection to Unity Park, as well. My first thought was a simple continuation of the trail along the north side of the river: across Hudson Street, alongside the Kroc Tennis Center, across Westfield Street, tying into the existing path at the District West Apartments. Truly a parallel pathway. Given the amount of traffic in this stretch of trail, I think it would be a justified redundancy. As for the connection to the Zoo: I assume this is utilizing the abandoned rail bed that runs under McDaniel Ave and between the Zoo and McBee/Washington.
  3. This is an ambitious list. Happy to see it! I truly believe that these investments into neighborhoods and quality of life features will continue to make a stark contrast between living within the City of Greenville and without. It's going to make a strong case for annexation of residential areas at some point in the future.
  4. I drove along University Ridge the other day for the first time since large scale demolition had begun. Without the building and the trees, the views of downtown are sweeping and really nice from ground level. The prominence of a building that surprised me was 121 Rhett. Thanks for the drone shots, @gman430
  5. Always expect a dusting, and hope for a blizzard!
  6. I assume the excitement for these routes can be found in Rochester and Manchester?
  7. 25 is rather impressive, especially given our proximity to two major airports. I appreciate this being put into perspective!
  8. This is a great idea to generate foot traffic for the studio. I've never been down there to know what the existing vibe is like, but I look forward to checking it out now!
  9. Ehhh, I'm open to seeing a new proposal for the gateway site (ideally combining it with the Canal parcel). I'm not convinced that the current proposal, which is going to resemble the McClaren in many respects, is really the best we can get at that site.
  10. Hmmm, I bet you're on to something with Dulles. It's amazing that they haven't restored that service yet.
  11. Looks like a new phase of construction is starting. Southbound traffic on Main has been diverted into the median, and a protected sidewalk added in the typical travel lane. Exterior work is set to begin.
  12. Wow - that's significant. Maybe it's the substantial growth that we've seen of late, but the amount of growth that has pushed down I-385 has been substantial. I'm sure this will only add to that. I hope Laurens County is prepared to control and direct growth, but I don't expect much given that they do not have any form of zoning in place for unincorporated areas of the county.
  13. I assume this is marketing material to inspire interested parties of what is possible on the site?
  14. Their current space is in the Falls Place building on the river level. I wish the owner would turn that space into a retail use.
  15. This is the same district that was in the news not too long ago for some sort of scandal, right?
  16. Well aware. Johnpro318 and I were strictly talking about county consolidation.
  17. I hear you, but you can also go ahead and assume that County Council personalities (and views) would be elected to the newly expanded City Council. No thank you. Greenville City has had an ideal bipartisan mix for years, creating the successful centrist city that is well governed.
  18. Anyone recall Museum Plaza in Louisville? Still undeveloped today.
  19. This is a prime spot for a big mixed-use development. Hopefully someone with vision and deep pockets is of a similar mindset.
  20. I don't think you've remotely considered the impacts if they receive a favorable ruling.
  21. It's a shame if someone actually comes on this forum and reads it looking for actual information about Greenville. They're going to be hit in the face with delusion and false information about a regressing city. Hopefully they're intelligent enough to look elsewhere for legitimate facts.
  22. I did not enjoy flying Silver, personally. Did it once, and vowed never again.
  23. I sure hope we get new flights to Florida.
  24. I much prefer the way the previous proposal's units addressed Cleveland Street. For such an incredible location, this looks like a cheap solution to make a buck.
