  1. It's a very nice store. The menu board is interesting. It only lists grande sized beverages and few beverages at that. All the usual Starbucks drinks are available. You just don't know the price or calories of any beverages other than the grande-sized ones.
  2. I am curious as to what will be going in the old Whole Foods location. Is there any hope that it could be a Trader Joe's?
  3. From the June 14, 2018, Arkansas DemoZette. There was talk about a "Diverging Diamond" plan but that was too confusing for Arkansas drivers.
  4. Apparently the former Tia's and Famous Dave's location will become a daiquiri shop.
  5. I have flown from Little Rock to St. Louis, Little Rock to Denver, Denver to Little Rock, and Phoenix to Little Rock within the last month. Every flight was full. Good to see high flight occupancy numbers. This has to help with getting new flights to new cities.
  6. I don't know why it wouldn't let me post without quoting someone. Oh well! Frontier Airlines will now start offering non-stop flights from LIT to Orlando starting November 16. The flights will be two times per week on Mondays and Fridays. LIT to MCO starting November 16!
  7. Chili's has already removed the signs from the building and the awnings. When is the new location supposed to open?
  8. I have no idea where the Pei Wei at Chenal was located. I was just at the Promenade earlier this week. How long was it there? Doesn't seem like it was there long.
  9. Agreed! I've been a proponent of this for years!
  10. Why is it that Little Rock seems to get skipped over for smaller markets? I've noticed this about restaurants and retail stores. Cities that are larger in population but smaller in metropolitan population seem to land restaurants and retail stores who take a pass on Little Rock. I would love to know the factors that companies make in deciding where to locate, or not to locate.
  11. It's not quite East Village but there was a report today that Rebel Kettle will be taking over a warehouse on E. 17th Street where it will be brewing and canning beer. The warehouse will enable Rebel Kettle to make up to 50,000 barrels of beer if they chose. The now-existing brewery and restaurant will continue as is. Good for Rebel Kettle! Rebel Kettle Expands
  12. I like Kum & Go Stores. I wish we could get one in Midtown but the neighborhood where it was going opposed it. Instead the neighborhood got an office building.
  13. Taco Bueno on Markham is supposed to open on July 17.
  14. There was a plane which was diverted to LIT due to smoke being detected by the crew. It was a flight from ATL to LAX I think. It had 198 passengers. Delta Flight Emergency Landing at LIT
  15. I'm hoping this was a bit of humor. I'm expecting that to be the case because what this town needs is yet another bank.
  16. I think the QQA fought the plans for the drugstore. They wanted something different than currently exists, if I'm not mistaken. I think they wanted the building right at the corner of either 16th and Main or 17th and Main with parking in back and not a box store in the middle. I think the developers pulled plans and resubmitted once, twice or maybe even three times. It eventually got approved as it now exists despite opposition from QQA if I recall.
  17. The lot formerly occupied by KFC at the corner of Markham Park Drive and Markham Street has been vacant for what seems like forever following the fire that destroyed it. I drove by there yesterday and the building is practically built. How did this happen so fast? I swear I drove by there last weekend and there was nothing much except perhaps a concrete slab. Is that a prefab buildings which is just moved piece by piece to the site? It has to be. I swear I don't recall anything but a concrete slab there until this week.
  18. I know the likelihood is practically nil, but wouldn't that be a great location for a Trader Joe's? I know, I know...dream on!
  19. I prefer the first plan but I'm an old codger who is not in the demographics the planners are aiming.
  20. That's a zoned residential area, no? Can't imagine it not being a house.
  21. You are correct. My mistake. That's lesson one for today.
  22. I didn't think Lexington and Fayette County had merged but found out they did way back in the day. While searching I came across this bill in the Kentucky legislature to consolidate its 100 counties into 34 larger counties. Kentucky House Bill 243. It's sitting in the Kentucky Local Government Committee. Here's a news article about it. New Counties, New Names, New County Seats... This would never even be considered in Arkansas. Bugtussle would raise a ruckus!
