  1. Mighty Crab will be opening in the former location of Tia's, Famous Dave's, DaqShack...any others? There's a Mighty Crab in Lakewood Village in North Little Rock and one on South University in the former Catfish City location. I've never been to either.
  2. Looking at the "Where We Fly" map on Southwest's website, Knoxville sure looks like a prime location for expansion. The nearest Southwest airport is Nashville (2 hours 45 minutes away), Atlanta (3 hours 45 minutes), or Greenville (3 hours). It's not close to any SWA location.
  3. I'm a huge fan of a one metropolitan city/county government. It makes too much sense.
  4. I wish Little Rock and North Little Rock would have kept those train tracks and bridge across the river. This would have been great as a light-rail train system to help get people back and forth across the river, especially for events at Alltel/Verizon/Simmons. There would be a great stopping point there. Oh well.
  5. Okay, I just had a huge Dollar Sign ad appear when I checked this site. I clicked the X in the upper right corner and it was an ad bought through Google. No way to opt out. The only options were "Already purchased item" "No longer interested in item" and maybe one more option, "Repetative" perhaps?
  6. It is going independent for a bit until it transitions into the Marriott family of hotels. It will be a Delta Hotel. It's already listed as a Delta Hotel on Delta Hotel's website. There are only 46 in the US. The nearest ones are Dallas or Jackson, Mississippi. Looks nice even if Jackson, Mississippi, already has one.
  7. You know the answer to that! Developers never pay. Taxpayers do! Just take a look at all the sidewalks we don't have.
  8. I had heard that David's Burgers at Markham and Bowman was looking for a new location due to landlord/tenant issues. Looks like David's will be relocating to Kanis and Bowman. A plumbing permit was issued for David's Burgers at 11921 Kanis Road.
  9. Would that be where a nail salon and, further west, the place where The Hop and several restaurants came and went? (Before you get to Shipley's) If so, yes, those collection of buildings have been an eyesore. Don't know what' s going there. The lot is not deep so I'm not certain what could fit there.
  10. I imagine Walter Hussman is holding on to the property as long as possible to maximize his profit on the sale of that land.
  11. For some reason I thought Lost Forty was opening a place down near The Railyard where Catheads and RockTown were formerly.
  12. J. Crew has been teetering nationally for a while now. I think it filed for bankruptcy earlier this year.
  13. Arkansas means "Land of the Metal Buildings" in some unknown language. I hate metal buildings, but that mural helps a lot!
  14. According to NewMark's website and click on the leasing guide for H-117, it is in the main shopping thoroughfare. It's also marked as "Lease Pending." Newmark Promenade Leasing Guide
  15. Here's an updated map from the leasing agents: Promenade at Chenal Site Map Go to page 4 of that leasing guide.
  16. It will be located where Charming Charlie was.
  17. Somebody got carried away when entering the application into the computer apparently.
  18. According to today's ADG, Southwest Airlines will begin a daily LIT-ATL route starting November 5. So from LIT, Southwest will fly directly from LIT to the following: ATL: 1x Daily DAL: 2x Daily DEN: 1x Daily PHX: 1x Daily (I think) STL: 1x Daily
  19. I had noticed that there was some activity at that location. I think an outlying building had recently been emblazoned with Parker on it. Good to see something going in that location.
  20. Oh, crap! Things are getting really bad when an... Oh, never mind. It's not a Waffle House that closed.
  21. Yeah, I read that. McClard's might have made sense in that visitors to the Clinton Library could mozy over to McClard's. That's about the only reason I could think for McClard's at that location.
  22. I'm excited about Gusano's taking over that location. My two favorite pizza places were, until Gusano's closed, Gusano's and Damgoode Pies. Neither of them had a West Little Rock location, until now. Damgoode used to have a delivery service location in Trellis Square, but it's been closed for several years now.
  23. Cathead's is permanently closed. I thought this might be Donnie Fernau's success as the food was good and the crowds were fairly large when I was there. Sadly, it was not to be. Rumor is that McClard's of Hot Springs will open in the former Cathead's location. Beasley Properties, the owners of Bones Chophouse, J&S Italian Villa, and the Copper Penny Irish Pub in Hot Springs, recently purchased McClard's.
  24. It's not useful for residents of Little Rock or North Little Rock. But it's damn cute for the tourists! #whatcoudldhavebeen
