  1. The Bistro Gourmet is awesome. I would love to see something like that but what I have found from searching the Google is that Bistro Gourmet concept was the idea of the Orlando franchise owner and most of the Bistro Gourmets are in the Orlando area. The Oerthers seem to be pretty good franchise owners who have developed their own concept within the McDonalds system. There may be a few Gourmet Bistros around the country (San Diego has one apparently) but since this is not a true McDonald's prototype, doubtful anything like that would be placed in Little Rock. Little Rock McDonalds are franchise-owned I think and not corporate. Look for the local franchise owner to put in the current, McDonalds standard store. I would be shocked if it would be any different. The McDonalds being built on S. University near Park Avenue, from what I understand, will be different from the other local McDonalds as it will be placed on a smaller lot than is usual in most McDonalds plans. 2. Not sure where to put this as there is no area for West Little Rock that isn't Shackleford Crossings, Pleasant Ridge or the Promenade. David's Burgers is going in at 101 Bowman. I think that is the address for San Francisco Bread Company. Did it go out? That shows how much interest I had in that place.
  3. I'm thinking it could be Allegiant Airlines. They currently serve Springfield (MO), XNA, Shreveport and many other similar-sized airports. From Springfield, they offer flights to Las Vegas (Monday and Friday), Los Angeles (Monday and Friday), Orlando (Monday and Friday), Phoenix (Sunday and Thursday) and St. Petersburg (Sunday and Thursday). From XNA, they offer flights to Las Vegas (Sunday and Thursday flights), Los Angeles (Sunday and Thursday flights), Orlando (Friday and Monday flights) and Phoenix (Wednesday and Saturday flights). From Shreveport, they offer flights to Las Vegas (Sunday and Thursday flights) only.
  4. Where can the plumbing permits be viewed? There used to be a website but I can't find it anymore.
  5. And the Hendrix Bookstore is not open on weekends either. 8-4 or so Monday through Friday.
  6. I was told by an employee of Wal Mart that the store is to open in January. Looks like a Zaxby's (never been to one of those) and an Arby's will be at the intersection of Wal Mart Drive and Shackleford Road.
  7. According to WalMart's website, a Neighborhood Market is typically 42,000 square foot. Isn't the old Harvest Foods way bigger than that? I also wonder about the Bowman Walmart which is purported to become a Neighborhood Market when the Shackleford Crossings Walmart is complete. Isn't that building way too big for a Neighborhood Market?
  8. Speaking of Five Guys. I tried them out last week. Underwhelmed is the word which comes to mind. The burger was small (even for a double-decker) but good. The much-heralded fries, while copious, were not all that. I had the cajun-spice fries. The fries had a weird, non-Cajun spice flavor, and were soggy, not crispy. If that's all it is, I can see its days numbered.
  9. From "architect": Mith - what Mexican I'd like from NWA is Aquambaro (spelling?). But we have great, authentic choices here like El Porton and Senor Tequila. Didn't Acambaro get shut down in NWA? From "LIT uPP": A manager at the North Little Rock Golden Corral said that plans are still in place for a restaurant at Shackleford Crossings. Timing is uncertain. They may be waiting for Walmart to open, before beginning construction. Golden Corral? What was Krystal not available? From "WLRDore": For those of you who like bagels and coffee, there's a new tenant that will be breaking ground soon on corner across from Texas Roadhouse. I wish them luck and I know they'll do well. Please, PLEASE, PLEASE tell me that this is an Einstein Brothers restaurant! Please?! Now if we can just get Taco Cabana and Whataburger! And some higher class restaurants than Golden Corral!
