Correct, only the back (northern) half of the building will be for parking. The front (southern) half of the building will be office/lobby on the first floor, pool and gym on the second and condos starting on the third.

It's the way all of our buildings should be--2-3 levels of street-front retail, 6-8 levels of parking and condos/office space above that.

To my knowledge there is one retail spot on the first floor. The rest is lobby, Condo office/mail room, pool, gym and rec room. Condos will start on the third floor.

Pardon the confusion, I was just saying that because I believe we're wasting space by building new structures and not integrating parking into them.

I'm really happy Grooters is integrating parking into River House and not building something separate.

Drove by RH for the first time since the tower crane went up. Looks great coming up 131 from the south - heck, from the north, too. Can't wait to see this guy go vertical.

Yeah, I think "block" is a strong word. Will it be in Union Square's line-of-sight? Sure. Will it "block out" even 25% of the skyline, no. In fact, River House will be part of the skyline.

It looks like having to squeeze their work into such a small area must present some interesting logistical challenges. There is very little space for storing building supplies, for example. Talk about Exhibit A for Just-In-Time construction techniques!

It should be pretty close to the street. In the picture above, the red crane and some of the staging items are really in one of the four lanes of traffic. So in the end there will be the building, sidewalk and than a four lane street.

Ah, well, im very glad to hear that its not in a plaza or something, set back far from the street.
