Hello James,

We need YOU to help us fight hunger in Rhode Island. So join us on Thursday, October 26 from 6pm to 8pm at Rhode Island Community Food Bank in Providence. We will be helping the folks there sort and repack donations for distribution. After the mission, we will head out to a local watering hole to enjoy a pint of Harpoon!

Since 1982, the Rhode Island Community Food Bank has solicited, stored and distributed surplus food and grocery products to qualified member agency programs that provide food to Rhode Island's hungry. In 2005, these agencies were able to use the Food Bank's staples and feed an average of 51,000 people each month.

Rhode Island Community Food Bank is located at 200 Niantic Avenue in Providence.

You can learn more about Rhode Island Community Food Bank at www.rifoodbank.org.

If you would like to participate in this Harpoon Helps mission, please send an email to [email protected] with 'Providence Mission' in the subject line.

We will reply with more detailed information about the mission.

Please join us!

Cheers,

Liz & Ariana

Join RI's drinkingest Environmentalists at the RI Chapter of Green Drinks (aka--Environmental Happy Hour) Thursday November 16th at Trinity Brewhouse from 5:30 on.

There are a lot of overlaps between the environment, urban livability, density, public transit, bike commuting, green buildings etc, so if you care about any of these things, plus getting rid of rats, trash, pollution, plus you love good beer and pumpkin cheese cake (and i know you do) join us for lively talk and merriment.

just look for the earthy folks all together--it is possible if we have a big enough group we might be downstairs so ask if you are wondering where we are.
