The fire started in the kitchen of New Rivers - in the duct work that vents the wood fire oven. The owner and chef are close friends of mine. The kitchen was destroyed and there is smoke damage in the dining room. I spoke to the chef about 10:00 last night and the fire dept was still tearing down portions of walls to make sure the fire was out and wasn't spreading to other portions of the building. The extent of the damage to the whole building wasn't known last night. I'll post more when I know more.
