Is it just me, or does anyone else not count 19 stories (or even 18 for that matter)? I just wish it weren't so boxy (especially sitting next to another box), or at least had more going on at the top. It would also be cool for it to be LEED-certified, or at least have some green features. At any rate, I think an all glass tower is really going to look great.

^Good point about the floors. I guess this is just to give us a relative idea of the height. I will say that I like the "thickness" of this tower, which the earlier rendering didn't really show. I also like how the west edge is slightly diagonal, and the lighted inner "notch." I would also think that the top feature would be lighted.

The building looks a little shorter in this rendering. I think I might actually like the original rendering better, just because it looked taller.

I think we all can agree that if this tower does everything it's supposed to do at street level, we can live with it architecturally.

At 18/19 stories, hopefully it'll be at least as tall as the Meridian. Even though this is another box, I think the all glass facade and a tapered side will add something unique to our skyline. I can't wait to see the reflection of the State House on the tower :camera:

Yes, Krazee. I think what happens at street level is the most important aspect of this project.

I was down on Main Street today and took a minute to try to envision the new Tower while looking at the lot from across the street. It really is a great plot for the new highrise, especially one with an all glass facade. The restaurant overlooking the State House is going to be something else.
