Think of the new Wachovia tower as in between the heights of Hearst and BofA Corporate. Look at it as an average of their heights.

Nice rendering, thanks for the visual. Mark me down as someone who likes "the handle". I think it's somewhat unique and different, which is a good thing in my book. But then, I also like the pink building.

Maybe we can think of something else besides "the handle" when we refer to WB's new tower:)

It's like "the Batman Building" of Nashville. I always hated that designation, as I've always thought the tower itself is quite striking, and deserves better than to be called the Batman.

If a more flattering moniker than "the handle" can be thought of, I will be the first to use it:)

btw is Wach 1 still called "the Jukebox"?

I wonder if it serves any purpose? it would be cool if they could make this cut out part of the tower into a landmark observation deck... have the observation deck be a park, with the top of the 'handle' stretching above... I think that wouldalmost be like having a space needle. Prob will never happen though

It is by me and most of the people I know. It's by far the easiest way to describe it.

As for the new Wachovia building, maybe they can put some kind of orange lighting on it, with a black circle in the middle and call it The Eye (like in the Lord of the Rings movies).
