GVLer
That’s unfortunate. It sounds like the issues extend beyond the Greenville location.
gman430
Going off the Facebook comments, it sounds like the place has really gone downhill over the past few months. I only went there once years ago. I thought it was overpriced for the food you get. Edited January 1, 2020 by gman430
Gville2012
Heard from a pretty reliable source Darling Oyster House in Charleston was looking for a spot in Greenville, along with another Charleston restaurant I can't remember the name of right now. I remember articles about there not being enough people to staff all the restaurants. I love seeing our restaurant scene flourish. I hope we never hit a saturation point. They found some pretty good locations while in town. I wondered how they would generate enough revenue to stick around. Best of luck to them in ATL. Anyone know who might be moving into their spot in the west end? Edited February 12, 2020 by gvegascple

Looking forward to this one - https://greenvillejournal.com/eat-drink/2020s-most-highly-anticipated-restaurants/ Quote Chef Samuel Dominguez, formerly executive chef of Hall’s Chophouse, Breakwater, and Rick Erwin’s Nantucket, is keeping this new project vague on details, but he is channeling his passion for cooking into his own restaurant now. The address announced Jan. 2 is the former Famous Toastery location (formerly Two Chefs) in Poinsett Plaza between Nose Dive Gastropub and TD Bank. Demo has begun, and the space will be under construction through January with the goal of providing a unique dining experience for all Upstate foodies. vicupstate
Urban Wren opens Thursday 3/5 Urban Wren opens Thursday at 116 N. Markley St. Suite 102, and with it, the owners hope will open a whole new way of experiencing wine and food in Greenville. The menu, which at the time of publishing remained secret, is a mix of global flavors and local produce that offers sense of place, Montgomery said, but also perfect pairing for the restaurant’s beverage menu. That menu includes more than 3,000 bottles of wine (the most expensive being $15 at the moment) and 45 wines available by the glass, ranging from $7 to $21. Food here will follow a similarly off-the-beaten path, but approachable focus, Montgomery said. The chef promised dishes that are “whimsical” and flavor combinations that challenge standard notions. Expect locally-sourced ingredients (the restaurant has formed a partnership with Mill Village Farms) and global flavors — Northern African, Thai, Latin American, Northern Europe, Ethiopian. The main menu will consist of around 30 dishes — small plates, a few entrees and some eclectic desserts. On board is executive chef Taylor Montgomery, who replaces the original chef team of Dean and Nicole Thomas. Montgomery comes with over two decades of culinary experience, most recently in the private sector, but he is keen on bringing familiar ingredients into a new realm of flavor.
