you can get a good view of Dynetech from the 4th parking level of Plaza. However, nothing beats the rooftop view from AMsouth--whoever snapped it from there needs to grace us with more photos again-- Native, was that you?

orlandonative said a while back that this thing should pick up speed once they clear the 9th floor. Looking at the picture below, it appears as if they have just done so, so it might just be on the cusp of breaking out.

Don't get me wrong I love the buildings going up like crazy in Orlando! I could not stay out by our pool today because of so much dust and debris flying around from the Vue and Dynetech construction.

do you really think there a lot of empty units? I know in my hall there is only one. In the summer there were people by the pool all the time..especially on weekends.

it is getting better. I just notice walking to my unit I can see right into a lot of units.

what kind of ceiling heights are the rest of the levels going to have? b/c, for being 9 levels high, it's not that tall... i.e., not 1/3 the height of 367'. I know garage levels are short... just curious.

The one concern I have for Dynetech is the exposed garage view from Lake Eola. This could have been planned better:

At first I thought it would be blocked but seeing it peering out from behind the Metropolitan, I fear it will be quite noticeable.

Only the top 3 floors of the garage should be exposed. The rest of it should be behind the Metropolitan. It looks like they wanted that partially exposed look. Everybody complains about a blank wall. Everybody complains about an exposed garage. This is actually somewhere in the middle. And if they follow through, there should be some kind of decoration towards the south. We'll see about that, though. The artwork on most projects seems to get dropped by the time everything is said and done.

Haha, I've been trying to figure out why the floors looked crooked for the past few days...the garage. I'm a dummy.

On the subject of exposed garages, how much does it cost to enclose the garage with a faux-window finish (or something of the sort)? Is it much more difficult to ventilate a garage when enclosed?

While it is obviously a money issue, it is also an issue of simple planning. At very least, the city could pass an ordinance similar to Miami Beach that forces developers/architects to "blend" their garages:
