The  'sprucing up' looks like they are either putting stucco on the exterior, or at the very least they're painting it. What currently breaks up nicely into two facades is going to merge into one. That is unfortunate, IMO.

If you zoom in it looks like they are just repainting the brick white. Which I guess makes sense since stucco would be more expensive. New part looks to be brick and wood as well.

Agreed. That looks hideous. Always thought the  red brick and those windows with the panels trimmed in green up top was by far the best looking building on Poinsett. Why cant they make the Dollar General side look vintage to match the Radio Room side .  Just Greenville continuing to lose all it's character I guess.
