  1. FI currently has no hotels. Good get for them. I was in DT FI a few weeks ago on a Saturday and I was impressed. Had not been there in a long time. Very cute little town with lots of potential.
  2. Maybe the ghosts of the wrestlers that used to "rassle" (as folks around here called it) in the old Memorial Auditorium back in the day are haunting that hole in the ground.
  3. They could put the outdoor movie on the roof of the 1 level big box -Whole Foods.
  4. Outpatient services focused. Seems like they don't like you staying in hospitals long now. They like to get you out of there and recovering at home. I just saw where Novant has acquired the Doctor's Care urgent care clinics in the upstate. The AFC urgent care offices became part of Bon Secours last year I believe. Urgent care places seem to be springing up everywhere around here. Funny last I noticed the former Arizona Steakhouse/Continental Cafe on Wood ruff Rd is now a Prisma Urgent Care. https://doctorscare.com/novant-health-completes-purchase-of-uci-medical-affiliates-inc/
  5. Would be nice if it were taller. It's only like 50 beds or something like that isn't it?
  6. Those shoe box flat roof apartment buildings look terrible lined up along Haywood Road near the trail. Looks like communist 70's Soviet Union. What happened to garden style apartment complexes built around a clubhouse with pitched roof buildings and lush landscaping? How did those ugly beige boxes get approval? Good Grief
  7. Dollar Tree's for the former Joann on Woods Crossing Rd and the former Party City on Woodruff Rd. As if we need more Dollar stores.
  8. Sadly it can happen in other places as well like schools, medical facilities and yes our beloved downtown. https://www.wyff4.com/article/greenville-downtown-shooting-parking-garage-video/62999856
  9. How many times does Greenville county voters have to vote the penny sales tax down before they get the message they don't want it? Can they be trusted to spend it on roads? One of our political parties never meets a tax they don't like. I'll leave it at that. About time the state steps up. I thought that's what the 12 cent per gallon tax increase on gasoline since 2017 was for.
  10. Dollar Tree for the former Party City.
  11. Bolden? Where did they get that name from? What happened to the town center shopping center they made a big announcement about 10 years ago on the old Sams and Best Buy properties? Never happened. I'll believe all this when I see it.
  12. Not really a fan of the Whole Paycheck Market. I personally don't really think DT needs another grocery. It has 2 of the most desired supermarket names in the South - Publix and Harris Teeter. Most DT's would kill to have just one of those two. I'd hate to see DT over saturated with supermarkets then we end up with one closing and a dark building. I'd rather see the two we have perform well and not have business taken away. I was kind of hoping Publix would relocate the smaller McBee store to one of their newer prototype stores at County Square then there would be Publix and HT on both ends of DT.
  13. Guessing not number of seats . I hope they meant add new seats like black modern ones and get rid of those old ugly clay colored seats. I do like that cutout bar area in that upper deck with the tabletops.
  14. Wow. This flyer says the store is just over 182 sq.ft and the auto center attachment 23k sq ft. for a total of 212 K . Wonder if they will take down that single story auto center like they did at JCPenney when they built the parking deck? Fun fact: Someone told me once those round store canopies on the front and right side entrances to Sears were supposed to be a nod to space exploration and represent either a satellite /rocket/space shuttle at that time. Makes sense with that Sears being built in very early 80's with the fascination of the space shuttle coming onto the scene . Round One may keep that and have some fun with it. Anyways going to be interesting to see what they do. https://www.providencegroup.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Greenville_SC_Flyer.pdf
  15. I thought Round 1 is going on the bottom level and Primark on the top level. I'm thinking the escalators will probably be walled off to keep them divided. I wondered too if Round 1 will take over the back part of the Sears lower level now which is currently walled off for part of the closing F21. The front half with the current F21 entrance would belong to Simon and the mall for leasing I would think. Not sure how that deal worked between Simon, Transformco (Sears owner) and F21. Agree with you from the look of their store photos online Primark will probably demo much of their space like taking down the faux ceiling panels ,walls and giving it a more open look. I guess Spirit Halloween will have to find a new spot this fall- possibly the vacant Gabes store if it's not filled.
