Ummm Champps Sports Bar is great. We have to in the triangle. And I hear from a friend of work who moved here from D.C. That Johnny Rocket's is good also. Waiting here for the rest also.

Legal Sea Foods did not blow me away when I tried it, but Smith & Wollensky was decent.

Oh Biscuitville is excellent. We have one in Sanford and I haven't eaten at one since I left there. I'm surprised they haven't made it further west in NC.

It's weird that they serve lettuce and tomato on a biscuit.

Charlotte needs a "La Madeleine" french cafe................. this would do extremely well here. very quaint atmosphere, good cofffe/tea, croissants, and FRENCH ONION SOUP mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

As far as retail stores, "Steve And Barry's" http://www.steveandbarrys.com/website/index.html is a gem of a place to get good quality college athletic clothing at cheap prices. If anyone here has ever been you know how much money you can save at S&B's. There are stores in Greensboro and Rock Hill, but none in Charlotte.

^^ They should put a Steve and Barry's in Concord Mills. They would have a pretty good size spot to put one as Jeepers recently closed. It would probably do good business being on the front side of the mall.

Of all bizarro things, Steven, my grandparents lived in Roanoke for a couple years when I was a kid, and when I read that mall name, I had a synapse fire, and I've actually been there...20 years ago. Scary.

Speaking of Charleston, we need some Piggly Wiggly's in Charlotte.

I believe that Piggy Wigglys are independently owned and operated. So a lot of it depends upon the owner. There are some really nice ones in coastal NC, but as you get inland where there is a lot of poverty, the stores tend to reflect that. However with that said, Piggly Wiggly often serves neighborhoods that would not otherwise have a nearby grocery store.

I tend to like the format of these stores and I think it would go over well in some parts of Charlotte, especially for people who are burned out with Harris Teeter and Foodlion.
