Never knew Zaxby's served beer. That would a great thing if they still did!

I briefly remember the house....it was only here for a few months after I moved to Greenville before they built the new cookie cutter building. Always wanted to check it out, but never did.

Prior to its incarnation as a Zaxby's, the house was a really nice restaurant called R. Thomas'. The decor was much more upscale than Zaxby's (which wouldn't have taken much), the food was great, and the prices were reasonable. I hated to see it close.

Was that a branch of the R.Thomas restaurant out of Atlanta? :dontknow:

That's uncanny ... this is more or less what I was going for, but I couldn't quite get the autofocus to lock in on it well enough and I couldn't see worth a darn to focus on it manually.

I've seen some of the original illustrations for the Lord of the Rings and there is an image of a tree that looks nearly like this one with the roots exposed, except in the story the roots attack the travelers. I've always called that tree the Lord of the Rings tree.

Old Man Willow, the character in 'The Fellowship of the Ring.' That is one of the major portions from the book which sadly did not make the final cut. This series has been my favorite literary work for decades.

RT, that is one incredible photo of the Liberty Bridge!

Thanks, Skyliner! Here's another...used the flash to illuminate the tree at the left in the foreground...made all the difference in the world with this shot.
