Thanks for welcoming me back, everyone.

A good use for the old Sam's Club parking lot on Laurens Rd. on a Sunday afternoon.

I have seen these guys out there several different Sundays, so apparently it is a regular meet. I am glad to see that large vacant lot used for something worthwhile. :)

Great shot, puskunk! Looking forward to seeing more in the future. :)

RLDEADY, glad to hear you are moving to Greenville's lovely downtown soon! If you want to contact NYTransplant, you might have better luck through his flickr account. He hasn't been posting here for months, but is still among the living. ;)

HI, THANK U FOR THE INFO. SEE U IN GREENVILLE SOON.

Thanks, Syliner! That shot was from a Student vs. Alumni rugby match that Beowulf, PU Skunk, and linkerjpatrick and I came across yesterday while walking around Furman.

Here's another one from yesterday morning.

wow, that looks familiar. Mine in the mist didn't come out as well, I think. With the new camera, nothing else to blame it one but photographger error!

And just so I can beat someone else to the punch their is one of me taking a photo of him taking the photo too at

pushunks flickr account

and this is one of my photos looking toward the student center. I was more fascinated by the light ribbon effect in the water.

Hey! Who's that fat guy?!?!? Actually, I think that photo of mine above was taken before everyone else arrived.

If anybody is interested in participating, these photos were taken during the first of what will hopefully be monthly meet-ups for the "EXPOSURE.Greenville!" Photo Group on flckr. Our next outing is planned for December for the Springwood/Christ Episcopal Church cemeteries. This would really have made a great outing for October, but we (by "we," I mean "I") didn't have our act together yet.

^^ Nice one, Skyliner! I've been trying to get a good composition of that sign with RiverPlace and the Swamp Rabbit in the background for ages and haven't been successful yet. Were you standing on a ladder for that shot? :camera:

Thanks! Actually, I was standing on the stairs coming down from Main Street, though I don't recall what level I was at when I snapped this shot. I thought it made a nice composition with the sign, bridge, and RiverPlace in the background. There are definitely times to shoot that, but I was in a bit of a hurry and the sun was passing through clouds on the eastern horizon, so the lighting changed before I could capture the warm glow effect of the sunrise.
