Can't really blame the NIMBYS on this one, though.

Let them build on the west side of A1-A and quit raping the shoreline.

The condo commandos who buy these units will still be able to sit on their balconies and look at the ocean. 

what's funny about this is that The Aliki Forum, just to the north of this, is 24 stories, and that tacky pink and yellow tower just north of Aliki Forum is like20 or so, and the condo tower to the south of this by a few blocks, Horizons, is like 22 stories or so.

I drove by this lot over the rainy weekend and they had construction equipment on site, including those steel wall panels (probably to shore up the sea wall).  So maybe they are doing this work now while they solidify the redesign (unless they already did).
