I really want our developers to have some more imagination when it comes to stacking apartment units in these developments. This is straight ROUGH!

117 Donelson Pike will be the site of 4 story, 154 unit residential complex by Pizzuti Companies on 3.85 acres where the Donelson Bowling alley currently sits. Hasting will be the architect; Barge Civil Associates will handle engineering; Highland Building Group will be the contractor. A 2025 completion is planned. No renderings yet.

Oh, no! That’s Nashville’s oldest bowling alley. Sad to see it go. I hope they will at least save the iconic neon sign.

Community discussion on Facebook with input from Council representative Jeff Syracuse provided news that the sign will be preserved. Hopefully the developers, who also developed the Joseph Hotel, will deliver a quality product.

Regeneration Nashville spent $8.8 million to buy a 6.04-acre lot at 709 Rivergate Parkway in Goodlettsville. Church leadership has announced plans to renovate the property – which formerly housed Tennessee Speed Sport – into a 1,500-seat auditorium with dedicated space for children and youth departments. Construction is set to begin immediately.

714 Main St. will be a 6 story mixed-use structure with 56 residential units, 1,510 sq. ft. of ground level retail, and a 3,933 sq. ft. restaurant space. Richland Building partners is the developer; Smith Gee Studio is the architect. The site is immediately to the west of the proposed 800 Main project  (10 and 4 stories of residential, office, and retail). 

The team will go before the Metro Development and Housing Agency Design Review Committee on May 2 to seek concept plan approval. The property sits within MDHA's East Bank Redevelopment District and, as such, DRC approval is needed.

The property previously accommodated a one-story nondescript building (from which operated a mobile phone service business) that was separated from the street with in-front surface parking.

Envision Cayce's Boscobel V & VI (2 -5 stories, 300 apts?, 30 townhomes?) update: MDHA Design Review Committee will vote on the specifics for this segment located at the northeast corner of the intersection of South Seventh and Dew streets.  Smith Gee is the architect.  The public housing units on the site were razed in the past few months.  New renderings below.
