Also there are the knock on effects of the health system being overrun with covid-19 cases taking beds that would normally be used for other sicknesses and illnesses that people need hospitalization for. My flight from Atlanta to GSP last night was a 737-900 on Delta with screens in the back of the seats. It was completely full as well.

All the main anchors at Haywood Mall (Sears, Macy's, Dillards, JC Penneys) own their building and associated parking lot. So it's up to the anchor to make improvements to their building. I presume Sears will sell that asset and it will be up to who ever buys it to update it, hopefully.

I was driving into work this morning and noticed an AVAILABLE sign on the corner property where the big senior living project was supposed to go across from the Comfort Inn site. Has this project died?

I would doubt the existing building is structured to add floors above so would have to come down to construct this. I think it looks awesome.

DRB having an informal review next meeting of the Final Development Plan for The Holbrook Assisted living development at Buncombe and Butler Ave. It must be getting ready to start soon. Big changes coming to that intersection.

Also, they are looking to rezone the Victor Mill to a FRD as well. This is just beyond the Poe Mill skate Park area where the Orange line Swamp Rabbit Trail extension ends. Big plans for this area.

CBRE is marketing the BB+T building as available for lease from 13,000 to 130,000 available for office. So looks like changing that to residential is not happening.

I see Willis Meadows is opposed to the development. I e-mailed him with my support for it a couple of weeks ago as a resident in his district. Now I see why he didn't right back.

I just wrote to my Council Member in support of this project, I think this is a transformational type of project and to see it fail because of the shortsightedness of some Council Members would be a serious blackeye to Greenville County for the future. I hope they come to their senses.

The Haywood Road area was to be called Uptown Greenville.

This looks to be in one of the old warehouse type buildings to the right of Pete Hollis where the big bridge starts as you head out from downtown. I wonder will they tear it down and build new or renovate. Good to see investment in that area.
