  1. Interesting that the Architect is form Seattle Washington
  2. Building next to the Pawn Shop just about finished demolition. I think it was Greenville Furniture Exchange. Looks to be a good sized parcel. Also, building demolition just about complete on parcel next to Jack in the Box by Cherrydale. Another big parcel. Hopefully some good new developments coming to both those sites.
  3. Would this site require DRB approval? Haven't seen anything through there yet. Still a fair few cars in the parking lot too.
  4. This intersection looks quite different now with the Cline building demolished
  5. Demo on the Cline property is just about complete. Looks very different at that intersection with the buildings gone. Have heard it will be a Hotel on that property.

    The West End

Just stumbled across this. A proposed 33 story building at Falls and River St by Hughes Investments. SGA was tasked with providing the schematic architectural design for a 33-story mixed-use high rise, located at a strategic intersection in Greenville, SC. The structure features a grocery store, parking garage, and apartments of varying sizes and price points. The uppermost roof serves as a heli-port, while a lower roof includes a rooftop pool. The building, when built, will be the tallest building in South Carolina.
  7. That intersection is also the highest point in the City of Greenville.
  8. Demo on this property has begun.
  9. Looks like demo is about to begin on this. Saw some heavy equipment on site over lunch. This intersection is about to be transformed with the new senior housing project across the road on the other cline property and them whatever is happening here.
  10. I noticed there is a GONE sign on the other Cline building at Buncombe and Atwood st. This is on the corner across from the History Museum. There is also some work going on on the Old Gene's restaurant building. There was a demo dumpster parked next to it. Big changes coming to this intersection. The Senior Housing project is going to make a huge difference. Glad to see development happening at this gateway into downtown.
  11. I flew out of GSP to ORD last Friday and there was a 747 Jumbo Cargo plane loading up. No tail insignia. Is that one of the international cargo flights?
  12. There was a survey crew out there again today at Mulberry and Pete Hollis.
  13. It looks like they eliminated the dead end on the new road and continued it out to Keat Ave.
  14. They are also clearing trees next to Patewood Memorial Hospital further down on Orchard Park Dr. Is there some GHS work starting down there?
  15. Work going on in the old Blue Ridge Brewing Company Space and the spot next door. Any ideas?
  16. They are actually metal panels. So it's a new exterior skin at the top of the building. Possibly to do with branding.
  17. This is going to have a huge effect on the surrounding neighborhood. Excited to see this development start. Construction to start early summer with apartments ready by the end of 2019. https://www.greenvilleonline.com/story/news/2018/02/17/woodside-mill-become-apartments/338786002/
  18. Not sure if this is exactly retail but... looks like The Playwright Pub which just recently changed its name to The Broad and River Pub has closed down. An expensive failure that one.
  19. Noticed the other day that the Pita Pit was closed. It always seemed to do good business.
  20. This is great to see. It will have a real impact on that community.
  21. Looks like work is starting at West Park Ave and Townes. Site work going on there today.
  22. I drove by yesterday and most of this building has been demolished. Not sure if they are planning on saving it after all. There was only a portion of the front left.
  23. Site work has started on the new big distribution center behind the Goodwill.
  24. Construction has started on the lot directly opposite IPA at Rutherford and Poinsett. They have ripped up the concrete and are grading. Anyone know what is going in there.
  25. This is a great project to see. More growth along the corridor and an extension of the Swamp Rabbit trail. Excited to see a brewery in there. Hampton Station
