It must of gotten VE'd because it looks nothing like the renderings on Storyns website. No brick, No steel windows. No large glass garage doors. This thing got Orlandoed bigtime.

I've always said the same thing. Even San Antonio has one and it is great. Nice draw for tourists and locals with the restaurant up top. I've also dreamed of knocking down the CS Market bridge and replacing the tree in the round about with a NYC Vessel-like structure. Make the old SunTrust building a "W" hotel or similar brand, get rid of frat bars on Church and have sidewalk cafes, shops and put an H&M, Coach, Brooks Brothers, etc in the Plaza building. This with the Magic SED , Under I-4, Bumby Arcade, and if the Orlando Tours would come back to train depot would make a nice draw for tourists and locals alike.

Actually, I think the pine straw is better at weed prevention and it doesn't spill all over the pathway when someone walks through or when it rains. It tends to stay in its place very neatly. Its used extensively in northern areas AND its less expensive than mulch. Win-Win

Unfortunately FL has always been about throwing it up asap and as cheap as possible. Architecture / landscaping, etc...seem to be an afterthought. Don't know why, but it just is that way generally.

Younger Cuban American born kids don’t care for the sport like the older generation. And heat and humidity? It’s a state of the art stadium with AC!

Not really a great comparison. OC Cali is not really an MSA or a metro city, it’s just a suburban feeder county to a much larger LA just like Seminole County would be to Orlando.
