    I'm from a little further West... Syracuse/Utica area. I've been in Charlotte 20+ years and still have family in the area so i keep tabs on the goings on in the area. I believe the Global Foundries project was originally supposed to be located at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica, but ended up going to Malta. So that's why i say its a relatively new industry to the area (my area of the state).

    I'm originally from the area and this is a relatively new industry to upstate NY. NY has provided massive state and local subsidies to attract chip and support manufacturing to the state. Regardless it nice to see upstate getting new investment after decades of losses and decline.

    From what I heard Wells wanted their tenants out of their buildings, so they could occupy their newer and amenity oriented buildings.

    My guess it will be taller than 535' in height since the last occupiable floor is that height. Any guesses? Also anyone know who the GC is?
