    SunRail

Point of clarity, a light rail system could not operate on the Brightline tracks, it has to be heavy rail, which is why it’s coined as “commuter rail”. Calling it commuter rail doesn’t mean the frequency won’t be optimized for the demand.
  2. Emailing her in support right? I can’t stand how often one of these is blocking the ADA ramp at an intersection or laying across the sidewalk.
  3. surely you saw a robotic dog or two?
  4. I think CV is living up to its name; the name being a marketing tool to bring Creatives to an specialized downtown area where they can live, work, and play. EA alone shows that this vision will succeed. There’s still a lot of development left, not to mention UCF Downtown’s campus maturity, that will allow Creative Village to continue to grow, albeit with a few less sq feet of office and residential space.
  5. Just a few ideas that would flow better: Luminary Lawn, Buddy's Backyard, Craig's Creative Commons, Lake Dot Greens, or College Park Park.
  6. Looks like Creative Village Park has a new name...Luminary Green
  7. From what I've heard it's something about the empty storefronts on mixed use buildings being a tax write-off so rent has to be higher than the tax credit to be worth it.

    Uptown

As an area resident I’ve just accepted North Quarter as the name. What we need is a grocery store and some more casual eateries that are open for residents, not just office workers.
  9. Have to say, the difference this made on day one was quite remarkable. The movement from WB colonial to Hughey/I-4 WB moves better than it has in months!
  10. You must be really excited, didn’t realize text on here could get so big!!
  11. I know it’s a long shot but I’m ready for that building to go. There’s a empty lot directly north that’s just surface parking that would make a much better officer tower site. Include ACME and now you’ve got a better pedestrian experience to the Radius courtyard. maybe we need a fantasy development thread...
  12. sounds like we need to start thinking... I’ll start with a new museum district with a central courtyard and condo overbuilds themed after the museum
  13. From what I’ve read Martin Andersen was not one to let a building stand in the way of Orlando’s progress, given he used the paper to bring major roadways right through Orlando.
  14. From what I’ve seen fences only create no parking zones, not no riding zones
  15. As a 20-something i should be the target audience for these...but I can’t stand them. Every day there’s one somewhere in my parking garage, strewn across the sidewalk, or blocking an ADA ramp at an intersection. They’re a novelty not a transportation solution.
  16. The 2D map images are from 11/26/2019, not sure why the 3D is still on 2017. The late 2018 images were released in March, not sure why this last round took so long to update
  17. What we’ve seen so far is a decent start. Imagine how much more walkable, transit oriented development we’ll see when SunRail shifts to daily operations with an airport connection.
  18. Honestly, as long as it keeps the ground floor retail I'll be happy. There's very little activated street frontage from Amelia to Colonial and this would help connect to Concord. (Then the Sentinel redevelopment can connect the rest, even if the Newsroom building remains.)
  19. Turn the side of I-4 downtown into a neon gallery, between Amelia and Washington
  20. To be fair, they’re burying them. The traffic is still there. But man, what a barrier between Paramore Oaks and the CBD
  21. Ironic that this building would be better suited in either of those locations. All of the surface parking and a two storey building? It's time to say goodbye.

    SunRail

the ITF is designed for both a Light Rail line (former Maglev) and a SunRail run from the south.
  23. The Montgomery and 434 store needed the revised layout that a compete overhaul brought. I’d imagine this will be a facade change with the other three walls and roof staying unchanged, although that is pure speculation.
