  1. Sad really, with all the money spent on the overpass would it not have been cheaper to build a shelter for these folks? North Quarter residents still cross Colonial at Orange.
  2. That’s quite the extended closure for downtown, they really are making it difficult to get on WB I-4!
  3. There’s a map in the MPB Staff Report: Link to MPB Staff Report Edit: also a map in the ARB Report: here.
  4. I think I finally know what seems off about this project to me - it's the Skyhouse garage. It's at a weird angle compared to everything else and gives Radius an awkward triangle courtyard that feels confined. Anyone here good at photoshop and can take out the garage?
  5. I’m downsizing apartments at the moment. I counteroffered with my current complex and they would only accept my proposal for a different unit, not the one I was going after (of course!). Ended up countering for less and they accepted. Right now there are some great deals downtown if you’re moving soon. I just couldn’t bring myself to move into a new complex that I’d only seen over a Virtual Tour.
  6. This thing might be ready by the time my lease ends in May!
  7. It may not be as tall as it should be but I use the retail in that building significantly more than most of the other mixed use developments.
  8. From the retail website it’s Vera Asian and an open spot.
  9. X Miami has a hotel on the floors below the pool and amenity deck and apartments above. The same X brand thats part of the Golden Sparrow site. Maybe it’s all part of the “social living” experience
  10. I took a Spin for spin on Monday at it seemed to reach 11mph. That's 10% faster than the competition!
  11. Has anyone done a comparison review of the 5 companies yet? I wonder how they all compare in cost, speed and availability.
  12. Happy this is going up but I wish it kept the name X Orlando, same with the rest of the X properties (Miami, Biscayne, Wynwood, Las Olas...). Society Orlando just sounds too uppity.
  13. Wanted to expand upon this: On the left: Temporary wall to house future retail. On the right/out of shot: Temporary wall to house future Brightline/Virgin Trains. In the background: Temporary glass wall to house future connection to Terminal C. On the right: Permanent elevators. To the left and right of the photo are glass walls to connect to a future light rail service, if it were ever come to fruition. In the background glass wall that one day will connect to Terminal D. SunRail access would be via the escalators to the level below.
  14. Looks like Parcel U/ Central Park are now divided by fencing. Hope this means they’ll start building the park soon!
  15. Orlando and any of these cities are simply not the same. A better example would be one of the cities that leads us in population. Miami is in a huge downtown development boom and people most definitely want to be there!
  16. I'm not as impressed with the scooters as compared to their Miami counterparts and the bikes. Definitely slower than other versions and all of the scoots around Lake Eola were dead in the early afternoon. They also cost twice as much as the bikes!
  17. With all the discussion on terminating vistas I cannot believe we missed this downtown classic!
  18. This similar to the X Las Olas project which is now being reported as Society Las Olas. Wonder if other existing properties will be renamed.
  19. First tracks for Virgin Trains USA installed at OIA https://www.wftv.com/news/local/orange-county/first-tracks-virgin-trains-usa-installed-oia/6HU3VRNZTVF3TA5OVBTQEHV7IY/
  20. Not quite - the line "OIA officials said there will be 19 more gates after the completion of phase one" should be read as "Phase one of the project will bring an additional 19 gates."
  21. I've been staring at these floorplans for a few minutes now and I cannot for the life of me understand the stairs between the 3rd, Landing, and 4th level. Other than that it looks more office-like than townhome-like but I guess that's how things change.
  22. you could also look at this as a place for those college students to work.
