  1. I'm frustrated for the healthcare workers who are currently feeling forgotten, overworked and unappreciated. My sibling, who works in the ICU, said it's a real slap in the face to see all of these people out and about living normally, hanging out with friends or vacationing as if there isn't a global pandemic going on while she has worked 24 hour shifts every other day for months. The death rate is up 23% in the last week alone, they have converted non-ICU units into Covid units and numerous Nashville hospitals are on diversion. Half of the doctors in one unit are out sick with Covid. Not only will the hospitals soon be overwhelmed with the rising case numbers but they will also be facing a staffing crisis. I know everyone is tired and wants this to be over, I get it. Please take this seriously no matter what the media or politicians are saying, we have cancelled all travel and holiday plans for our own family, you can too.
  2. There is that big tower for sale next to HCA Capitol View...
  3. The first post on this thread mentioned the drawings for this project were at least 9 months behind 900 Church so until you see movement on that project I wouldn't expect any significant news on this one.
  4. Now I could get into some Formula 1. I binge watched the series on Netflix and Cote d'Azur is pretty high on my travel list if we can ever get out of here.
  5. Highly recommend the series called Explained on Netflix, specifically the episode titled, The Next Pandemic. Released prior to Covid-19 Pandemic.
  6. There are three new murals going up in Capitol View near Frankie Pierce Park celebrating the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment. Location: 1000 Nelson Merry St.
  7. In my case, it was a train that slammed on the brakes around a tight curve right outside my window, every two hours... including overnight. Back to 5th & Broad - I was surprised that no one captured the early morning Helicopter Lifts from last Sunday. Super cool.
  8. You'd be surprised what leasing agents forget to mention when they give virtual tours or only show you the model unit. It happens all the time.
  9. @dragonfly There's also photo of Elephants in front of the Ryman from this same Ringling Brother's Era. Any idea how I could get a copy of this for my house?
  10. Same! A bit jealous I didn't get to work on this one. I've only specified hot pink paint once before and it was only because it was in the Company Logo.
  11. It's not surprising to me whatsoever. Lots of essential workers reside in that area, sometimes even together in the same apartment. Construction workers, healthcare, restaurants / kitchen staff, service, etc.
  12. Good luck with that, constitutional rights and all. What is hurting our city, is that the vast majority of infections occur in so-called super-spreader events, almost all of which take place indoors. Most protestors wear masks as opposed to those who were pictured at Lower Broadway bars who were packed in like sardines without a mask. It's not a fair comparison.
  13. I suspect there are signage guidelines in the Music Row historic overlay for New Construction.
  14. I spied some of the copper-y metal panel installed on the first floor when I walked by this morning. Looks like they had most of it covered by a tarp.
  15. The perspective looks a little out of scale too, but at least they were smart enough to hire Populous for this concept design.
  16. I just stumbled upon this thread today - but you should check this out, its one of the best stories on a once abandoned building. https://99percentinvisible.org/article/found-decor-iconic-detroit-station-revival-inspires-return-of-stolen-artifacts/ They recovered so many stolen artifacts that they showed them off to the public. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/local/detroit-city/2019/01/11/ford-reveals-recovered-michigan-central-depot-artifacts/2541879002/
