  1. The infamous Levine parking deck landmark resumes construction next week?
  2. The 6 parcels across Commonwealth as well as the now-vacant CFD Credit Union adjacent site are both owned by the owner of The Julien's property. Listed in Polaris 3G as "Golden Triangle #7 - Commonwealth LLC"
  3. Framing has officially commenced on the apartments!
  4. This afternoon, someone (or just the wind) moved/bumped the OxBlue camera for 650 South Tryon. You cannot see the street level anymore, where the majority of the current work is occurring, and it's quite annoying. https://app.oxblue.com/open/lh/650southtryonst
  5. Crane as seen from LU2 OxBlue camera this morning
  6. In February 2002, during the construction of adjacent The Green parking deck, a third of the St. Peter's fresco fell to the floor and was destroyed. The building dates back to 1893. The sanctuary was renovated and restored in 2007. Let's hope DEC2 does not impact any of St. Peter's buildings.
  7. As a brand-new UPer, a graduate of the UNC Charlotte School of Architecture, and a local architect, I can say that the architecture faculty at UNC Charlotte despise the Chancellor's architectural campus standards. From his architectural comment in his opening address to faculty when he first arrived, the feeling is also mutual. The new buildings lack visual diversity on the exterior, fail to invite anyone inside, and lack a sense of the scale of the pedestrian. Storrs, Rowe and Colvard are the 3 anomalies to the new status quo.
