    It’s so funny how everyone laughed at me months back when I said that this would be the tallest residential tower in the city slightly above the Vue and this is the post I was waiting for someone else to post. I should go and find that thread…

    Not the digging of the lot. I go but there multiple times a week so I’m really referring to that part. The lot just started digging up. Thought there was an announcement that needed to be made soon.

    Am I out the loop. Or something. What’s all that digging and fencing on the Brooklyn Village site?

    OMG ! That’s actually the main issue I have with the trees. Around many peers of uptown mainly this area and the western portion near the foundry like you mentioned. I love trees but they just aren’t pleasing to the eye along the roads nearing uptown. And it’s always blocking a picturesque view! Ugh

    I wish they would cut those bushy trees coming off the ramp on John Belk all the way down to the new Wake Forest campus. I hate seeing new construction next to such an unkept area. It’s always a pile of overgrowth and cut down trees from the construction site that looks so tacky. And yes I know they don’t own the land but gosh I would hate to live in those apartments and have to look at that mess blocking my view.

    Any word on this lot? I saw some movement going on here, and the construction fencing is gone. Or is this just from them wrapping up construction on the other side of the street of the two office buildings?

    I’m excited for this project but at the same time the roads and awkward shaped lots in front of this seem so odd. Will the businesses in front of this complex get redeveloped soon?

    So ready to see the plans for this!! They have a great opportunity to bring life to this dead zone on a one way street. I hope it’s not the typical generic mix use developments going up in other parts of town.

    Not sure if this is the right thread. I drive too fast to see if these are townhomes or low rise apartments but they are going up fast on Tryon with all that cleared off land on that huge block near Clanton Road.

    If you look in the pic I uploaded right across the street there is lots of activity at those other apartments being built. Not much talk about those but the plans are beautiful.
