  1. Wells Fargo is moving out of the building. Main reason they sold it.
  2. Thats the idea. I think we will find out for sure within the next two months. Theres beem some chatter recently that this might happen.
  3. My guess is they buy Hearst (they have a negotiated purchase option) and start on a second tower in 1st ward.
  4. Meh the tower, hate the garage, love the second tower, hate the third tower
  5. They pitched it as allowing them to recruit younger tech talent. Lmao you think a bunch of millennials want to work out in Mountain Island? Personally I think it went, "well we can't recruit any young people to come work in Hickory so let's put it near Charlotte but still close enough for us to commute from our lake houses and hope for the best."
  6. Actually little disappointed in Corning. Looks like the VE'd the living daylights of it.
  7. Hail to our picture taking donut overlord
  8. That's what makes this more confusing
  9. Dang that's true. Very frustrating however. In what world should we accommodating dated single family on our main thoroughfare in our hottest submarket?
  10. No idea why they aren't putting the office on the corner. Seems to be a huge mistake to me.
  11. *takes bong hit* I kid, I kid. Think we still have lot of runway left.
  12. Charlotte is so crazy right now that a 300 job announcement from a large foreign bank generates meh levels of excitement.
  13. It's not quite everyone. BOAT and LU2 are parked at 2 sp / 1,000 sq ft and Honeywell is 3 sp / 1,000 sq ft I believe. There are probably 3.5-4.0 employees per 1,000 sq ft in these buildings.
  14. Might just be the north tower you are looking at. As of right now, the combined vacancy is about 15%.
  15. Out of curiosity why do you think that is the case?
  16. Scootered down to Victory this AM to pick up my car (shame) and saw them moving dirt & clearing trees next to the light rail station
  17. The issue is that they are still not leased up 2 and 4 years after opening and maybe they never will. Also, they sold last fall for substantially less than it would cost to build them.
  18. lol we're near the top boys
  19. https://www.bizjournals.com/charlotte/news/2019/07/24/latest-tower-proposed-for-uptown-would-bring-more.html Lmao this is going to be worse than Skyhouse
  20. Correct. Legacy 1, Crescent Stonewall and RailYard all by the end of the year methinks.
  21. No I was just speaking to the huge volume under construction. About to be some earth shattering trades though.
