    The West End

There’s a lot of balconies sticking off of that thing
  3. Ah yes, having the football team is the big leagues. Bankrupt the city and torpedo the pension fund but at least you’ll have a big time franchise to pull for while you huddle around the trash can fire. Never mind the fact that every serious economic study shows that public finance in stadiums is the equivalent of lighting a cigar with flaming cash. Anyone that makes this argument is either (1) deeply stupid or (2) a shill.
  4. 1. Each of those is infinitely better than the last known Greenville design. 2. Even assuming these were bad, the argument would be roughly equivalent to “my car is pretty good, I’ve seen plenty of worse cars”
  5. I was referring to the state's delegation to the United States Congress. And since seeing the old design I will be skeptical about the new one until I see it.
  6. so it's somehow getting worse, great. Maybe if it had no windows - perfect! A complete failure of South Carolina's legislative delegation.
  7. I don’t think any of these have been completed and construction has stalled. Think they’re having trouble with sales
  8. Lol one of the world’s most valuable companies held a national beauty contest that included demanding publicly funded incentives in the capital-b Billions in exchange for jobs and investment. And now they say they will actually deliver only half, but yes please give us all that public money. This was always a gross display, and we are well over the shark by now.
  9. If they're going to go through with building the giant windowless cardboard box in the latest drawing, then they can start in 3019
  10. Lol ok so WeWork, got it. Maybe I’m showing my age but I don’t know a single person that uses coworking space and yet it occupies roughly 40% of office square footage.
  11. I doubt they would keep plowing money into DRB changes if they weren’t going forward
  12. Welcome to real estate.... I don’t think it’s dead yet flor what it’s worth, remember how long it took them to sell that crap on Markley?
  13. No you’re thinking of the Crescent, which was north of that lot, next to the former Bellacinos/future Luna Rosa
  14. Yes, in case some unspecified large, prominent downtown office building opens within the next two to three years... wherever that may be
  15. Maybe not, it’s easier to push out a wall than to add a story
  16. Two things can be simultaneously true: 1. the downtown market is underserved by hotels (seriously, go book a room downtown and tell me each hotel isn't worth a mint) 2. banks, even a lot of them, are capable of making really stupid decisions all at once
  17. what a novel concept, condos that don't look like a storage shed smoked meth
  18. Lighthouse Greenville LLC is owned by www.Lightouseliving.com I doubt they are just buying these as investment properties. Look forward to seeing what they have planned.
  19. Maybe if Lindsay would do his job instead of spending all his time on TV carrying water for President Bone Spurs...
  20. IberiaBanks old spot - have they moved into the new office on broad?
  21. Wow. Huge coup for Camperdown. Huge loss for the former BOA building. How much space did they occupy in there apart from the branch? I imagine you have to just hope some newcomer takes over the space.
  22. I don’t think there’s going to be any movement on the hotel piece until Auro’s Residence inn down the street opens for business.... unless someone with more time on their hands wants to see if they close on the property and construction loan before that
  23. “I went by today and nobody was working that I could see while I was there so it must be dead” ”it was cold that one time so global warming is a hoax”
  24. You can set your watch by this guy
