  1. Ok I searched and searched but cannot find it so maybe y'all can help me remember. AFTER the "Festival Tennessee" Spring Hill proposal there was another smaller grassroots attempt at an amusement park. I remember seeing it online and thought they were hoping for property in Spring Hill or Columbia. They even went through the art work to sell pictures of the animal mascot/character prints to help raise money for the park. Does anyone remember this plan?
  2. Big problems. Last time I was there none of the kiosks worked and the person taking the orders was VERY slow. We have neighbor's kids who worked there. Apparently the turn-over from the upper mgmt all the way down has been terrible. We have been to others in different parts of the country and they were much better. Hopefully this location can figure it out. But the worker shortage is crippling. Teenagers gladly just quit to work somewhere else where they make $1 more and their friends are working too.
  3. Curious, if the members of this board were the owners of this property, what would you have put in? Obviously another bar is the "easy answer". But this is a prime location and could be something very unique. Other than axe-throwing... pinball... bowling... I am not sure what else could/should go here. Maybe a multi-floor complex with one floor being a "social media" floor with props and stuff? (I know, but that's gaining popularity) If it were family oriented, what could it be?
  4. I hear what you're saying but there's no way TopGolf moves. It's an incredible property for them that draws the visitors to downtown Nashville. I bet PSC sells before TopGolf does. LOL. I am curious about how this new development will address the large amount of light that comes from TopGolf and pointed right in its direction.
  5. Exactly. I checked out the "Bills Mafia" social media. There were TONS here and they took pics all over Nashville. So, without question, they spent serious money in Nashville. When I worked downtown I would always see visiting fans the Thurs/Fri before a home game. At the bars, on pedal taverns, dining all over... it truly is an incredible city to make a game a "mini-vacation". When my daughter travels to cities for travel soccer we always look at what's available and if we want to get there early. (Denver, Chicago, Buffalo and Niagara Falls...) And what's REALLY funny is talking to visiting parents that travel HERE from somewhere far away. Soccer moms look ROUGH on a Sunday morning because they hit Nashville hard the night before. I promise, I have heard "yeah I have to bring (insert player name) home after the game. Her mom is still in the hotel trying to get up."
  6. That was my first game in a VERY long time. It was an incredible atmosphere. I don't know if it was official but I heard someone say there were around 22K Buffalo fans there. And they were LOUD! City looked good.
  7. Another incredible contrast is everything south of Broadway up to the I-40 southern loop (including the Gulch). All junk buildings, medium industrial and parking lots. In 15+ years it could totally be filled in with skyscrapers, mixed-used development and parks. I hope I am around to see that all build out.
  8. I love that we are calling this the "YMCA Tower". After seeing the headlines from the Tennessean, totally makes sense.
  9. Looks like some great leg space!
  10. The park behind the Amphitheater has gotten worse over the years too.
  11. When the next census hits expect the area between the "TN" logo and the "Murfreesboro" lol to be dark blue. The area around 840 is blowing up. And the sprawl from Franklin is coming from Carothers to Long Lane out to Arno. There's farm land all over that area getting re-molded into subdivisions.
  12. Totally agree. Except for the Vegas airport's baggage claim. My wife still can't get over the massive "Thunder from Down Under" billboard they have looking over the people.
  13. I got 4! Can't wait for this facility. Still curious about parking, but I will cross that when the time comes.
  14. I honestly believe Cool Springs would have been like a Buckhead, GA if the planners allowed it with lots of big towers for office and residential. Apartments were very scarce in Franklin until just recently.
  15. From my understanding, Williamson has strict limits on height to keep the "rolling hills" feel. At one point it was 11 stories. Not sure where it is now but don't count on 20+ stories in the Cool Springs area.
  16. Some people have reported 2.5 hours trying to get out. And getting in was terrible too.
  17. The Quarry Amphitheater has a lot to work out. Sitting in traffic for over 90 minutes trying to get out. Concessions ran out. Many of the artists didn’t show up tonight. This is pretty much what I feared having something without the adequate road infrastructure to handle a massive venue.
  18. While I haven't done the pedal taverns (and won't) I am happy people come to our city and enjoy them. Reading some of the responses it sounds like a bunch of old farts in here... many of which don't even go downtown Nashville. When I do, I smile at their craziness (we were all young and enjoy stuff the older people would roll their eyes at). Just because they are not for me doesn't mean people shouldn't safely enjoy them or be employed by them. When I talk to people who visit Nashville they absolutely love the vibe of downtown. Just make it safe and let the young/crazies enjoy their fun time. The rest of us can let them have fun, watch "The Wheel" at 7:30 and go to bed before 9 pm.
  19. Are there any international soccer nuts that can help me understand how the CONCACAF and Olympics can be going on at the same time? I notice Mexico has a team in both. Just different players, I guess?
  20. Why does everything now have to have stages? How about we not spend money on things that detract from the game and use it towards improving the actual stadium? It's a 2 hour game. If people want to hear someone sing the same ole country songs over and over, they can make the short hike to Broadway. And... massive dining areas? Whatever happened to squishing in to a football game seat with two dogs and a beer?
