  1. With the recent news of MLB relocation & expansion possibilities Milwaukee & Tampa Bay . Should our city leaders put Memphis name in the hat for a franchise?? We have a stadium that could be used as a home temporarily or permanently depending on how much is spent to expand it. Here’s some info. Let’s get some input negative or positive on where Memphis would stand.
  2. This is also a great concept. The armory in St. Louis could be a blueprint for CA warehouse.
  3. The CA site is prime land for entertainment. Sundance Film festival has used Crosstown theater in past. I would love to see Sundance festival move the HQ here and CA building could house them. https://deadline.com/2023/07/sundance-film-festival-leaving-park-city-labs-1235433473/amp/
  4. This is great for downtown in general and the city of Memphis. Can’t wait to see the design for Autozone sky bridge
  5. They really need to build that Land bridge to connect to mud Island. Retro fit Mud Island to be the home of BSMF. Knock down a couple of buildings that are not being used to open up space and parking and use the open grass southern end as well as a renovated amphitheater to host the event that would solve the issue.
  6. It’s my hope that Sterick will come online by last quarter 2026. My understanding is the new owners are working feverishly right now for a 2026 opening. We will see several recent proposals have been delayed based on rising cost of materials, inflating bank bonds and loans etc. Good thing is those historic tax credits are there and DMC has several financial incentives the building qualifies for. Fingers Crossed on this one to open 2026
  7. Tough break. Hopefully another developer will buy the land and do a similar project.
  8. The former site of plush club would make a great site for hard rock hotel
  9. Things are moving in the right direction with MSC. Ken May is very active behind the scenes right now and has met with live Nation about booking concerts. Hopefully by the end of this year we will have more concrete information and details about renovation. Let’s just see how this plays out. As far as 901fc there are plenty of other options that would be options. Here’s a look @ crump and main property approx. 15 acres ready for development. Owner by Frank Smith ( Wiseacre) who has stated he would love to negotiate with 901 fc about the land.
  10. This is serious Memphis getting a strong look @ expanding Amtrak service to Nashville, Chattanooga, Atlanta. Watch the you tube with Congressman Steve Cohen. https://www.actionnews5.com/2023/06/06/congressman-questions-amtrack-ceo-status-future-memphis-to-nashville-train-route/?outputType=amp
  11. Amazing that’s going to light Stanton TN up. Huge investment and lots of high paying jobs
  12. That’s a good thought. The dock expansion plus additional foot traffic from more cruisers should expand the hotel demand.
  13. All for the Aqaurium and fresh water institute however it should be @ Mud Island.
  14. Glad u changed direction on MSC. With the recent news Of Ken May former Top Golf ceo and FedEx office ceo, along with Corey Strong( Attorney ) forming a conservancy to have a mix of commercial uses, sports events and concerts, this is the best opportunity for MSC to be reopened and reimagined. The city continues to push for possibly hosting an NBA all star weekend well a secondary venue will be needed for that to become a reality. MSC is that secondary venue. Let’s see if Ken’s resume and expertise will be the difference maker
  15. Big 12 officials visit Memphis!! Let’s hope this report means Memphis is next on the Big 12 radar. https://www.audacy.com/929espn/sports/memphis-tigers/breaking-audio-live-coverage-on-92-9-big-12-visits-memphis
  16. Glad to see this moving forward. It has been a long time coming. This project will do wonders for that area of Main st. Now let’s get the Lowes Hotel back on the drawing board.
  17. All excellent points. We will see very Soon what the future of MSC and the Hotels will be. Dream Hotel supposedly breaking ground soon and Sheraton redo plus expansion as well as the proposed Hard Rock Hotel on or near Beale st. It’s going to be an interesting second half of the year.
  18. 100 percent agree. MSC should be renovated and kept as the secondary arena. Our city leaders should step up on this issue. As far as Hotels, Air services. Our next mayor should make the proposed Lowes (civic Plaza) GrandHyatt one Beale a top priority to get built. Memphis international is currently undergoing major renovations including adding a second rental car location. Downtown airport I’m not familiar with but it’s good to know we have a private airport downtown
