Just a question that popped up in my head: Does anyone know what percentage of SC is rural vs. the percentage that is classified as urban?

Very true. Lifesytle centers are great but I think they're nothing more than souped up plaza's.

Atlanta may need more foot traffic on its streets, but not to the level of NYC. I wouldn't want hundreds of thousands of people stepping on the back of my heels when I'm trying to take my own time getting where I'm going. Also, I've haven't been to DC yet, but I really need to go in order to see the street activity that so many people speak of. DC is never really shown beyond the capitol on television.

Good point. Columbia seems to be infatuated with brick (and red or dark red brick in particular), so why not build something to compliment that.

Me too! A movie theater in DT would bring a lot of people back DT. We really needed that.

Oh! one more thing. Atlanta has a looooooooooooot of trees (which I think is a good thing)!

Atlanta did a lot in 38 years. I didn't know that the red and white communications tower was 38 years (or more) old!!
