  1. Who can live without air conditioning in Atlanta?
  2. Doesn't I-26 in Charleston already act as sort of a connector to I-95? IMO, it does.
  3. Some of these photos should also be posted in the "Southern Photo of the Day" thread. We need to show our capitol off.
  4. You can if you turn on to the exit ramp off Greystone (as if you're coming from the Zoo). As soon as you're on the ramp and you pass the SC Education Lottery Billboard, look towards the city and you'll get a full view. I don't know why anyone has yet to take a picture from that view because it's pretty nice.
  5. I wonder what factors led them to make that decision.
  6. LOL. Ok I'll let you keep this one a secret.
  7. How did you take this shot without your image reflecting in the ornament?

    Five Points

I don't see any reason why city council or the citizens wouldn't be in favor of such a great plan.
  9. The plan seems to lack variety and originality IMO.
  10. From my experience the foot traffic in Columbiana and Columbia Place look to be about the same. The only difference seems to be the type of people that shop in each mall. All of this is from my first person perspective though, so take what you will from it.
  11. I'm loving the exposure
  12. I say bring in a few chains. The traffic will come as USC and other colleges are in the downtown vicinity. As a former USC student, I can attest to not having shopped at the Vista or Five Points b/c I'm reluctant to go into any store im not familiar with. If there was a mixture of both local and chain stores, I would be more willing to shop at stores that I'm less familiar with.
  13. I don't mean to turn this into a fashion blog, but I thought J. Crew was old news. NOW BACK TO THE TOPIC AT HAND
  14. For that price, I would rather own a condo DT. Harbison is not walkable and other than shopping, I can't think of any other amenities that would warrant me picking Harbison over DT.
  15. Indeed it does. Even the new outlet looks like it was a well thought out process by its architects.
  16. ^Forgive me for being nit picky, but the title of that article should've been Town Homes Offered to Low Income Residents rather than poor. Other than that, I think the proposal is an excellent idea.
  17. He probably rents a car or catches a plane.
  18. Very nice He sure is young to own a restaurant of that caliber.

    Innovista

I was just thinking. With all of the housing options that Innovista will have, wouldn't it be neat for them to offer some kind of incentive or discount rate for USC grads. The housing that has been going up around the USC area (ie. condos near Williams Brice) are well beyond the price range of a recent graduate like myself. Offering incentives would be a great way to keep young, smart professionals in Columbia and in the city proper.
