Country music has almost always been one of the top 2 genres of radio stations in the US.

Inner Loop - CBD, Downtown, East Bank, Germantown, Gulch, Rutledge

We should just invite the strip clubs back down there and close all those honky tonks. They’ve just destroyed Nashville. -
I’m thinking he and the “I hate the suburbs” guy are actually the same troll…taking opposite sides of the political argument every other post.

I think “ruining downtown” may be a bit much. Let’s not forget what Nashville’s downtown was 30+ years ago. Those bars have helped elevate that area…a lot. Do we need some new ground rules to hopefully make the area more family friendly? YES. Do we need to throw the baby out with the bath water? NO. -
I'm still not sure if you’re being facetious or serious.

I drove Uber for a few weeks a few years ago and picked up a young, wealthy female at BNA coming into town for a bachelorette party. She got in and said, “I’m going to the Knight’s Inn.” I looked at her and said, “Are you sure?” She was like, “yeah…the price was good and the photos online looked ok. Since it’s so close to everything, I figured it would be ok.” I said, “I personally wouldn’t stay there as a single female. That place is really sketchy.” She was like, “I’m sure it will be fine." 15 minutes later, we pull up in the parking lot and she sees it and says, “Do you mind waiting here while I go in for a minute?” She comes back out a few minutes later…wide-eyed… and says, “Can you take me to the Omni Hotel instead?”

Bet there are 1000 architects out there who could have designed something more pleasing to the eyes…for less $$…and still meet client demands.

Weird how that tower kinda turned into a really bland 70’s vibe structure.

Can you tell what the lighter grey areas are? Is it just a design…or will they be made to look like windows…or what?

Has anyone explained all of the “extra-curricular” uses the stadium will attract? I’d like to understand what we’ll gain outside of the NFL if this is built. I could see the building almost working like a second Music City Center in ways…but I’d love to hear Butch Spyridon chime in.

Smeagols or someone else with more knowledge can say for certain…but I’m thinking the residential next to Grand Hyatt hasn’t started, and the potential two towers along 9th Avenue haven’t started (and no renders released). Also…the smaller “hotel” or residential right behind the Holiday Inn Express hasn’t started.

The white wall behind them looks almost like a large lake between them and downtown. Would be cool. -
That area between Lebanon, M’Boro and Smyrna is a pretty area…and done appropriately, could contain everything another city contains instead of just being Warehouse Wonderland. Reminds me a little of all the warehouses along I-24 going through Lavergne. Could have easily been planned differently…but I’m guessing the $$ did the talking.

NFL is always gonna be the 800 pound gorilla in the room for every major city. Most cities (and many of its residents) feel an NFL team will up their visibility and increase value to their city from not only an entertainment point of view…but from an “it city” point of view. I do believe major sports leagues do help bring about a certain level of “we belong”…but I’m not sure where the “is it worth it” pendulum swings in the other direction.

Does Wilson County have a master plan for all of the land between Lebanon and M’boro that includes a healthy mix of warehousing, retail, residential, etc? I’d hate for all of that land to just become warehouse after warehouse.

Well…they’re already being subsidized by the NBA and would not exist in its current form without the NBA giving them major $$$$$.

I’m not understanding the 60k number. It would currently be the smallest in the NFL. I hope they explain why they’re going that low. We’re currently at nearly 70k and when we’re good, don’t we fill the seats?

60k would be the smallest stadium in the NFL. Is that a misprint?
