It's so much fun, though.

I get nauseous.  as for the inertia, shoot, the Jurassik Park River Adventure ride got me worrying b/c the drop was deeper than I thought.  Imagine Milenium Force.  I'll eat my pretzel and watch you thrill seekers from the base of it!

Woohoo! Disney is now the Official Theme Park, Water Park, Resort and Cruise Line of the Knights’ football team. (Let’s not forget who owns ESPN while we’re at it).

I read a piece in Forbes today about how quickly things changed for Clemson in terms of revenue and fund-raising, etc., once they started on their upward trend.

UCF is no Clemson (yet) but it is amazing how much things have accelerated ever since DW declared them national champs. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, it’s probably the best known directional school in the country now after USC.

I'm not sure this goes here- Skyplex Announcement

The world’s tallest rollercoaster in Orlando’s I-Drive corridor nabs FAA approval

https://www.growthspotter.com/news/hotels/gs-news-skyplex-orlando-nabs-faa-approval-20190913-epdjqab7cre75k2d5kh62bwlsa-story.html

Approved up to 720 feet but will likely be around 595.

I know Dale posted approval last week, this just gives more details on the numbers.

Can the little guys along North I-Drive survive Universal’s Endless Summer Resort?

From the Sentinel

The second question is, should they? Could the strip’s tawdriness be remedied if they didn’t?

Kissimmee 2.0

Will north I-Drive be the next Florida Project? I’d bet on it.

Meanwhile, the former has regrouped and moved on.

I think the original numbers were 590/720ft.  the structure goes up to 595ft and the spire or whatever goes up to 720ft.

Have we missed our third destination resort? Legoland’s third hotel is opening in April:

From the Sentinel

Wouldn't really call it a 3rd hotel. It's really just a new wing of the first hotel.

Scott Maxwell at the Sentinel shows just how out of hand the TDT has gotten and how our local officials refuse to lift a finger to reallocate the funds to badly needed items in the community:

Scott doesn’t say it but this is a key reason we need to stop coronating our local officials and have competitive elections where issues like these are actually discussed.

Changes at the top at WDW. George Kalogridis is bumped upstairs on what may be his last stop before retirement.

Meanwhile, Josh D’Amaro comes back to Florida as WDW President.

So far as I know, Josh has never been big on the community-facing parts of the job like Meg and Al were, so no idea yet how this will affect the broader community.

Universal has acquired to remaining Stan land from the foreclosure... adding another 56 acres to their new campus. This property is mostly between the existing property they purchased and Universal Blvd, and given its positioning and documents, its ideal use is likely another value resort, 5000 rooms, located right across from Icon Park.

are we talking about land north of Topgolf adjacent to Universal Blvd?
