I love them.  I have tons of them in my yard.  They look great even on a miserable, rainy day like today!  I have some Oleander too which are also gorgeous.  They’re two beautiful types of trees that you only find in the South.

So, the weather this week is AMAZING.  I grabbed dinner at Mac’s and traversed up south BLVD all the way to northwest Charlotte- I haven never seen so much construction in this city. It is everywhere. Insane times these are for this town.

3 towers along Stonewall all brand new or less than 2 years old.   Stonewall and Tryon Charlotte's 2nd major uptown intersection.

Today I hopped an aggressively fast scooter and snapped some pics at eye level. There are old structures in Charlotte if you look hard enough. Also, some good landscaping.

Church of Christ, Science (Mary Baker Eddy) and The Addison. On Morehead. Addison was originally the highest level of living in Charlotte. Apartments above and dining on the dining level with liveried servers and elegance all around. 

This building was converted to offices about 20+ years ago and a neighbor/teneant said it was fine but the ceilings had to be lowered for all the contemporary ventilation and communication business and that left a lower than normal ceiling which gave a cramped feel to the space.

Christian Science Church I have never been in, oddly. Never saw any active members at their services. Minimal parking there. Someone tell me what is the normal practice for a Christ Science Church. 

Anchors of Morehead Street, along with Covenant Church which is undergoing a renovation. It could have been in these photos, and the Ascension Lutheran at Morehead and Kenilworth.

That apartment building in the third and fourth photos is gorgeous.   Where is it located?

I know it is a very complex societal issue, but I would wager that being a Silicon Valley of anything is potentially terrible news for a lot of people who don't immediately benefit from tech jobs and the property value spike that it implies.

I also recall a Charlotte Agenda article a year or two ago titled "Why is Charlotte Lagging Behind in Startup Culture?" I think they were reverse-psyching what they wanted to see. /Sluethy
