What is this game? Why is it now? It seems ridiculous to have the GMAC and Internation Bowl this late in the season. They should be played in December. Anyway, I'll take Miami of Ohio for the win.

Also, will there be a battle for the #1 overall pick between Sugar Bowl QB's?

It would have been nice if the PLAYOFF's looked something like this:

These were the rankings before the bowl games....Rotate the Major Bowls

"Elite 8"

#1 Ohio State

#8 Boise State

-------------

#4 LSU

#5 Louisville

#3 Michigan

#6 Wisconsin

--------------

#2 Florida

#7 USC

I agree...they have pushed the National Title game way too far to Jan 8th!

*32 Bowl games is a joke; just finish 6-6 for the regular season and you qualify

Before the bowls started my prediction was Ohio State beating Florida 28-21.

But it's not an easy pick; Florida has a better chance than I first thought.

I say Ohio State by 10, 38-28. I would be more confident in my pick had I not seen the Rose Bowl. U-M almost beat Ohio State, but wasn't even close to USC in terms of speed. Florida has that same kind of speed. Can Ohio State handle it? I think they can, add to that Troy Smith and the fact that Jim Tressel seems to be at his best in big games, and I think Ohio State wins.

Still a half left but Ohio State is going to have to do a lot better if they want to lose by only 7. Florida can't get too cocky, Ohio State is a good team. But it did annoy me that so many sports analysts gave them absolutely no shot. They're good but still who have they played? Michigan, they lost badly to USC in the Rose Bowl. Texas, they didn't even make it to their conference's championship game. Maybe some of those wins weren't as impressive as people thought.

How many 1st place votes will Boise State get? Its stupid that a one loss team can play the game of their lives for one day and are the national champs. And I would have said that had Michigan somehow got there and won. If there was a playoff, Florida (or Boise state for that matter) could play out of the minds for one game but have to face the music the following week. My top six would be if I had a vote:

1. Florida

2. Ohio State

3. Boise State (same logic as Florida. Okay, what would they have done next week if a playoff was in place?)

4. USC (Probably the best team in the country. What a shocker by UCLA!)

5. LSU

6. Louisville

Any thoughts on what the top 25 will look like tomorrow?

^^^No way USC and Boise are ahead of LSU. I don't think USC is the best team losing to two unranked teams JMO

LSU was ranked #4...no way they drop after the beat-down they put on Notre Dame 41-14! UCLA simply had a strong D-Line with good pass rush getting to a QB w/ limited mobility; no different than LSU and Florida pass rush.

#1 Florida

#2 Ohio State

#3 LSU

#4 USC

#5 ???Louisville, Boise?, Wisconsin?

Thank goodness there was not a Michigan/Ohio State re-match.

Well that was a surprise! My final top 5 would be:

1. Florida

2. LSU

3. Ohio St

4. USC

5. Boise St

The game I would really want to see now would be USC against Florida. Both teams abosolutely manhandled teams that were supposed to be so much better in Michigan and Ohio State.
