GVSU is expanding into this building, taking two of its floors:

) First floor will house Key Impact, a national food broker, and McGraw Construction

) The two top floors contain 12 two-bedroom town-house apartments facing downtown's skyline and renting for $850 to $900 a month. About 3,000 square feet still are available.

) GVSU will seek to develop other properties near the river, finance Vice President Jim Bachmeier said.

We could hope that an expanded GVSU presence south of Fulton, along the river, would relieve much of the pressure on the near West Side.....at least give all sides time to breath. And time to create a master plan: both for GVSU and for the residential parts of the near West Side.

There was a large Steelcase tractor trailer right on Butterworth today unloading into this building. Also a Custer Office Interiors box truck parked on Front Ave. Unfortunately, both of my cameras are out of commission at the moment. You may have also noticed it was cold this morning.

Temps in the 30s on Wednesday, though! Spring is coming. :)

I am completely excited about the finished product! It is such a good fit. I really hope that we will see other things happen in this area over the coming years. I really think that the location and structure of this neighborhood could really make it the "Eastown of Downtown."

Great work on the building!

L@@K, signage! This appears to be an illuminated sign; I will have to come back after dark.

Not the world's best bike racks...

If any optimal use of this type of bike rack ever existed, this building would seem to be it:
