and to think some people think he may run for higher office one day. How will he be able to not make EVERYTHING relevant to Warwick then? will he all of a sudden realize how important of an asset the airport is to the entire region and that it should be protected and supported?? Or will he continue to fight against the airport's needs and crush the already fragile state of the RI corporate climate? Either way, his current stance on the airports issues is political suicide if you ask me. People in other towns and cities think he is rediculous already.

This is just too good to be true.. I got to hand it to you artsy types.. you are taking the "art is never wrong" idea to a whole new level.. Hilarious.. I can only imagine the stench of patchoili.. Thats what makes this whole thing unbelievable.. You would think that the wretched smell would make this "art project" last no longer than a weekend.. Whats on tap next, hmmm? paint some unsuspecting landlord's walls with lead paint and call the EPA.. Youse Guyse!!!

Then there's tiny Rhode Island. The state has mandated that utilities obtain 16% of their power from renewable fuel sources by 2020. It has the lowest energy consumption per capita of any state in the country, and only two states have lower carbon footprints than Rhode Island, government data show.

There's an interesting blurb about this on the ProJo Newsblog:

http://www.beloblog.com/ProJo_Blogs/newsbl...turnaround.html

According to US Airways, the fight over who gets credit for the "Providence Renaissance," former Mayor Vincent A. Cianci Jr. or current Mayor David N. Cicilline, is over.

In the piece, Cicilline boasts of $3 billion in investment in Providence since he took office, as well as improvements in the city's bond rating and a drop in the crime rate.
