I thought that BOA Charlotte was taller than BOA Atlanta. And are there not many towers much taller in Dallas? I would love it if Atlanta had the tallest building outside of NYC & Chicago.

I saw yesterday where Signature Tower in Nashville will be slightly taller than the B of A building in Atlanta and replace it as the tallest tower outside of NYC/Chicago. IMHO, from the mockups, that tower just looks way out of place in Nashville's skyline...just too tall in comparison to the other buildings.

Well just think, if Nashville does builds this tower, it might end up starting a highrise war, like in Asia. Then all the big cities will have their big towers.

I know Atlanta has a ton of projects going on now, but I think it would be good to create separate threads for the more major ones in order to track the progress. It can get a bit overwhelming to search through these pages to find information for one particular project.

Yikes, that would be a lot of threads! I think in Atlanta's case that may not be the most practical thing to do. What about making separate threads for Downtown, Midtown, and Buckhead? That would at least split things up a little.

What is the status of 3630 Peachtree Road ? The Novare website has the project 'commencing Fall 2006', but on driving by, just last week, there is only a sign. no ground disturbing activity whatsoever.

Oh, I try to get up that way at least a couple of times a year. Every Christmas we drive to my wife's family who live in Arkansas, so we go through Atlanta on the way up, or the way back. And as a general rule, we like to hit the Border's in Buckhead.

If that's the case, nothing is a done deal until it's a done deal. I don't see the market conditions in Nashville supporting this tower, it was bourne from the giant ego of Giarratana. Having said that, I do wish him luck...it looks like it will be a nice looking building.
