Atherton Mill Redevelopment

The Eagle is now open. I just peered in from the sidewalk, but for a place that bills itself as a beer hall the tap selection looked kinda limited (8ish taps? Bar had a very Bakersfield feel)

In other news, the Big Ben replacement (open ‘summer’) is building an expanded patio that will give better views of the ‘river trail’. So it appears that the Belk River will be expanded into Southend. I am very excited!

Oh wow, I've actually been to Bocado in Atlanta, although I had to look up a picture before I remembered it. I don't recall anything particularly unique or interesting at all about that restaurant.

Tecovas will open April 2nd in the prime corner spot of Atherton Mill.   I will be there with my boots on (and yes Tecovas)  First store in NC 2nd in the Carolinas after one in Charleston.

and free  adult drinks for shoppers!  and about the 3rd  Web retailer to storefront business in there.   (Bonobos, Warby Parker,)

the line up this morning at Tecovas the Texas based custom boot maker.  Had to abandon my visit and came back later.  and people were buying from the boxes I saw come out of the store.  Check it out.  Only store in NC currently.

Yes, nice view indeed.  I do envision the Commonwealth Plaza-Midwood blowing Atherton out of the water, however.

Anyone know what happened at intersection of South Blvd and West Tremont?  Appears someone jumped the curb and ran over and destroyed a street lamp and 2+ street trees.  Is that in fact what happened or just a really strong wind?
