Anyone here using nextdoor.com? It's kind of a mashup of features like FB, Craigslist and Angie's List but just for a neighborhood. It's free, and they will verify your address. We're using it in Hillbrook to track lost pets, complain about the poor quality of the speed bumps and share plumber/electrician/etc recommendations. If your neighborhood isn't using it yet, consider starting it yourself so that you have control. If you're going to start one, drop me a message, and I'll send you my code that will get both of us a $50 Amazon gift certificate when your new site gets out of the pilot stage.

Better hope it's a different crew than the ones who installed speed humps in Hillbrook. These are the most poorly laid that I've ever seen and will rattle your teeth at 5mph.

That would be odd unless they're closing the Greenville site.

The only problem with the Harris-Teeter spot is the very sloped parking lot. When it was HT, I remember having to really hold onto my buggy as I was unloading it.

I was working for them while it was under construction. I left before they moved, but they knew then that they had grown faster than expected and wouldn't have enough room in the new building.

They're fine in the fall if the weather is nice, but, for me, they're miserable in the spring (pollen), summer (heat) and winter (cold). I don't see the appeal at all.

Yeah, thanks, I had read the article, but I didn't know whether or not the source was reputable. Wonder where they got their nationwide numbers from? It would be interesting to see who all is on the list and what their placement is.

That is good for Columbia and South Carolina as a whole if it's true, but I do find it a little surprising. I would think that the Greenville-Spartanburg area would have equally as many insurance technology professionals what with the likes of Benefitfocus, MetLife, QS/1 and UnitedHealth Group, and when I think about areas like Hartford, Central NJ, Minneapolis, Louisville, etc that are insurance hubs, I can't quite see how it ranks fourth in the country. I could be wrong, though.

Looking at http://www.sunrisedayspa.net/sunrisehealtheast/index.jsp it appears to be part of a small chain similar to Massage Envy. Their internet special is $45 for a 1-hour massage while Massage Envy's is $39/hr. That's more than I pay the massage therapist that I go to, but her place is a dump. The surroundings don't matter to me, though, since I'm there to get the kinks out of my neck and lower back from sitting at a computer all day, not for the green tea, facials and tinkling fountains. There's a massage parlor openly plying their wares in downtown Greenville??? Or did you mean massage therapist? Those imply different things to me.
