  1. Didn't the renderings have brick at the bottom of the windows?
  2. Lake Ave. is currently located east of Westminster. This proposal shows it moving to be west of Westminster.
  3. That Lake Avenue re-alignment is concerning. Kinda implies that the Westminster owners might be up to something. That would be bad planning.
  4. Cambria, Zoi House and maybe another phase of the Earthfare building development. And Church Street Plaza, I guess.
  5. Yes, I had forgotten about that one. Have they made any announcements since the recession started?
  6. Any guesses on what breaks ground next?
  7. Does anyone know what's going in on the ground floor? I noticed some build-out construction today in the corner space.
  8. Alaska also flies (flew?) it, I think.
  9. From that perspective, it looks like there's room for two of those on that parcel. The building hugs Jackson and it's way out front of the Westminster building.
  10. Isn't the original approval still good? I thought it was already entitled.
  11. He hit the lottery on the last name.
  12. They did a great job hiding the parking garage on this one. Too bad they didn't hide the garage on the Orange/Robinson project. It will be in full view along I-4.
  13. What's the source of this photo?
  14. Which sidewalk? The sidewalk just east of the RR tracks near LCS is owned by Lynx. Did they fence that one in?
  15. This is exactly correct. What's worse is that we also have a system of double blocks along the west side of I-4 which makes the west area even more disconnected. We have the railroad tracks and the insane number of parking garages lining the tracks, then we have an interstate then we have blocks that are twice as long (north to south) as the blocks on the east side of I-4. With this project, the MEC and the stadium, Pine Street will basically be a disconnected alley from Division to the stadium. There was an excellent opportunity to take advantage of Pine Street and connect east and west and our wealthiest development group was in charge but we end up with this.
  16. Rosalind side of the courthouse is a massive waste of space. It's a surface parking lot with two lawns of some sort. Someone needs to put a 7-12 story residential development in that space.
  17. I agree. You can tell that the City at least tried to get the Skyhouse developer to activate the Rosalind portion of the building at street level and it looks like the Developer just did the bare minimum to skate by. Luckily, it did not turn out too bad but it could have been better.
  18. I think it's critical for the City to require GF retail, at least on certain identified corridors (Church, Orange, Eola, etc...). As more residential developments get built in secondary locations, we'll want the retail for those folks to be focused on those corridors. We could get ten more 250 unit developments downtown in the next 10-15 years. There will be enough people eventually. We're making great progress lately though.
  19. I agree in general but that ballroom blocks access for walking along the western side of the rail tracks from Church to South.
  20. I don't see that ballroom having any events for the foreseeable future. It would be great if they fast-tracked the demo.
