  1. If anyone is still concerned about Pinnacle's height, Mark's photo has a great angle to hopefully allay any remaining concerns.
  2. if reality comes even close to that render, so sweet! Let me do some situps so I can last the 25-30 years it'll take!
  3. A few shots from this past weekend's visit to NYC: Madison Square Garden Bryant Park with One Vanderbilt and others Not sure of the name, yet this tower is home to the Bank of China. Liked the design. Noticed out the hotel room window that the New Year's Eve ball is still there, and it glows different colors day and night. Empire State building at street level Followed by various views from the top observation deck Chrysler building Looking north toward billionaire's row Closer shot of One Vanderbilt and two of the residential towers on Park Place, 270 and 432 (u/c) Hudson Yards Manhattan with Queens across the river (United Nations building to the left) Empire State building tippy top
  4. Cool seeing the two Midtown resident projects now adding to the overall downtown collection!
  5. Sticking in the Northeast for a second, a 15-story 1,111 complex is under construction in Philly. I'm only posting it because it's so massive. Photos courtesy of Philly YIMBY.
  6. Count me as a fan, if only for the added "character" it brings to the skyline. Not sure how many are still around (I know there's one in DC/NVA) and I'm glad we have one.
  7. Just proves the adage of different strokes for different folks because it's the ugliest tower in Nashville to me. And it ain't close. That high-rise wall of unobscured curtains leaves a LOT to be desired for me.
  8. Not sure of the level of admiration here for the old Stouffer, yet over the years, it has really grown on me. Initially, it's wide and skinny body bothered me. Now, I like it. Definitely adds a uniques element to the downtown towers. IMO, it also adds a unique tower element not seen in many or any other cities outside of Las Vegas.
  9. And that's exactly what I googled to get that top image! lol
  10. Now let's see, add some seasoning and some steroids and...
  11. And I think that's a very valid variable. At those pedestrian numbers, motorists have clearly chosen to steer clear if possible. That's kind of my point with Vegas; they're having to contend with both, even at much lower pedestrian volumes. Again not arguing for or against, just allowing for different choices depending on variables at play.
  12. @smeagolsfree Any word from Tony on whether he still plans to build this one? I remember it was somewhat tied to the timing of the Ritz Residences. Might he now eyeball beating the St. Regis Residences?
