I rode Greenlink for the first time last week and again this weekend. It ended up lining up in a way that was faster than calling for an Uber. The app to pay was easy to set up and the buses arrived and departed exactly on time. I'm glad they are increasing the frequency, because every hour is horrible if you miss your bus. 30 mins is still not wonderful, but it makes the system a lot closer to usable as an alternative to driving some places.

They are still making progress on the exterior, I saw a crew finishing a new side last week. But yeah you are right it seems like progress has been ridiculously slow. Maybe problems getting whatever building cladding it was designed with?

Draper street doesn't seem anywhere near the swamp rabbit trail, how are they going to get a spur there? They'd have to build through a lot of other properties first. Not that I would complain.

If this is in Next Manufacturing then Carter Family Wines is already set up in there. I wonder if this is so they can serve or sell win there to customers?

I find the park pretty impressive in person. Especially imagining all the bits around it yet to come.

The point of that type of steel is that once it forms its layer of oxidation (rust) on the outside the oxidation protects it (like aluminum). It means that you don't have to spend money on keeping it painted and it just always looks like that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weathering_steel

You can't stop people wanting to live in a place. That is a false option. All you can do is direct the growth in a way that creates a livable city. You have to ride the wave which I think so far at least the city of Greenville has done a pretty decent job.

Yeah, I figured that they were having supply or labor issues. I don't know how common the exterior pieces that they are using are.

Just drove over part of it for lunch. Honestly if I didn't know it was coming might not have noticed. Didn't see any traffic problems so far. -
It is on a side street, and with the loss of Gringos and the other fancy sandwich place, probably they lost a lot of foot traffic. Not even counting the last two years probably were tough. At least there is still Hoppin' if I want to get my alcohol vending machine hangout spot fix.

It was my understanding this was a new Larkin's concept restaurant, not them moving. Perhaps I am misremembering.

The middle buildings appear to have setbacks, and I would guess that some of them have some height.
