The governor and the mayor announced the London flight officially this morning. It'll be to Heathrow, 5 days a week, starting in May 2018.

R2D2 would have looked great at around 50 stories -
I know it wouldn't be possible but what would be pretty cool would be if Vanderbilt and the potential soccer team could build the soccer/football stadium where Vandy's current stadium is. Maybe the soccer team foots most of the bill but gets like a 30 year lease to use the stadium on Vandy land, with the 'Dores using the stadium during football season. I think midtown would be a nice area for a pro franchise.

^ I didn't realize they purchased signage rights. How much of the building are they leasing? Did they remove the regions sign? -
Nice, Martin 4-0-4. They only made them for a few years in the early '50s so it's a pretty new plane in this picture.

I bet the airport authority is so mad about this leak lol. They've been waiting to make this announcement for years. I mean, they managed to make the city curious for days over a freaking Calgary flight but couldn't keep quiet about this one.

I'm willing to bet it'll be a 787. These kind of routes are why they bought these planes. Possible seasonal 772 service during peak times.

My wife and I are trying to buy a home in Antioch currently, and the market is insane. Within days of reaching the market homes already have half a dozen offers. It's totally an issue of lack of supply.

This may have already been answered in the past, or maybe no one knows yet, but since Bridgestone didn't make this building large enough for all their employees where will they put the ones who can't fit? Are they keeping their old building near the airport?

Maybe this is too far south for those restrictions? -
^Every time one of the news channels post news about a new project on facebook, like game-changing area-revitalizing projects, all the idiot mouth breathers in the comments sections have to talk about is "WHER WE 'POSED TO PARK NOW?!?!1" They just expect massive free parking lots surrounding every restaurant, shop, and office.

^ They need to find a way to fix the traffic issues on Maryland Way. Adding this and the Hill Center at the Franklin Rd/Maryland Way intersection are going to make this stretch even worse than it already is.

I have a feeling that when we do finally get a European direct announced, it will be followed by several more pretty quickly. I could see LHR or LGW definitely; maybe a direct with Condor, Norwegian Air, or Icelandair; and a long shot to Paris or AMS on Air France/KLM/Delta. I could definitely see Delta starting a European direct though, the way they've been bullish on BNA.

I really wish they would build without the sliver for pure spite. They could call the two towers Petty and Spiteful- 1,920 replies

I'm ok with paying taxes for transit as long as they're run and administered correctly and effectively (no bloated union, absurd regulations that make it take decades to do repairs, added pork to expansion and repair plans, etc). I don't want a northeast-style transit system costs 10x as much to the taxpayer than it should because of all the palm-greasing and union requirements. I kind of understand when people are upset with having to pay for it, though. If someone lives in Bellevue and works in Brentwood or green hills, transit isn't really doing anything for them so it makes sense that they may resent being charged for something they don't use.

I'm relatively new to the home buying and apartment/condo building world (my wife and I are expecting our first child this December and are trying to buy a home this fall), so forgive me for asking: why would a developer choose to build rental apartments vs condos that are for sale, or vice versa?
