  3. Don't forget that this park is being funded by a tourism generated tax plus a good chunk of private donations and it will no doubt be a money maker for the city.

  6. Interesting view of downtown and the surrounding area. A few thoughts. 1. County Square is really going expand downtown. 2. Unity Park looks really big from up top. 3. There is a lot of room for development in and around the Unity Park area. It's going to be fun watching it all come together.

The site is the former Wyche building at 200 East Camperdown Way. The current plan is two blasts per day at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for the next three to four weeks. Harper General Contractors is notifying neighbors within 1,000 feet of the jobsite of the blasting schedule.

  10. Someone told me that they heard Rick Erwins Seafood is relocating there. Haven't heard anything official though.

The grand opening for Unity Park, including the playgrounds and splashpad, is scheduled for Thursday, May 19. A park-wide community celebration will be held on Saturday, May 28. The opening of the 60-acre park will be the culmination of two years of construction to transform a long-neglected area of the city into a world-class destination. Unity Park’s features and amenities are extensive and include: Four playgrounds and a water feature Three pedestrian bridges crossing the Reedy A nine-acre green space An extension of the Swamp Rabbit Trail Park construction also included the restoration of a half-mile section of the Reedy River and adjacent wetlands. Additional events planned to celebrate completion of the park include a West Greenville and Southernside Reunion, a Juneteenth celebration and the dedication of a plaza honoring Lila Mae Brock, who dedicated her life's work to the Southernside community.

    It looks like not only the rooftop but also the 1st and 2nd floors will be office. I guess there will be no food hall? There does appear to be one retail space on Rhett still.

  21. There is an article on Greenville News that is titled " New trail would make walk to Greenville's Heritage Green safer ". Unfortunately it's behind the pay wall.
