I walked it once a few years ago and I had my dogs with me. Horrible pedestrian experience! The side walk was very narrow, the guard rail was way too low, and the cars were speeding by within a couple feet of us. I did it because I wanted the view but it wasn't worth dealing with all that. I'll give it another shot though when this project is complete. -

They're actually supposed to start the process this fall. https://greenvillesc.gov/1946/College-Buncombe-Street-Cultural-Corrido Q: What is the timeline for the work? A: The goal is for design plans to be finalized so improvements can start on Academy Street in Fall 2022. Construction on College Street would likely begin in Spring 2023.

I didn't expect this level of bridges when they first announced this extension. These look like an interstate project. I'm happy to see it though and can't wait to use them. I really want the county to do the same thing at W. Blue Ridge Drive and Sulphur Springs Road. Those crossings need them asap.

WYFF has been covering the opening of the park and had a special on the other night. In one of the segments they talked about The Commons expanding and that the big blue warehouse on the far end was about to get a massive makeover. Anybody have anymore info?

The city does a good job of providing bags and trash cans to get rid of it. I'll never understand why I see so much dog mess left behind.

I think that it's that space too. Long, high ceilings and the glass floor to ceiling glass up front. Should make a pretty cool spot for a drink and bite to eat.

I kind of agree with you about keeping them silver but color is always good and it's a nice entryway sign to the park. A lot of pictures will be taken here. Does anyone know if this will be lit up at night?
